SUBSTANCE INHALATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
20230037490 · 2023-02-09 ·

A stand-alone chamber or multi-chamber inhalation system has at least two alternative vaporized test liquid supply systems for passive or self-administered delivery of vaporized test fluid and air to one or more test chambers, which can be passive or restraint chambers, based on operator selection of delivery on and off times in a passive mode or actuation of an actuator in the chamber by a test animal in a self-administered mode. In one case, a multiple inhalation chamber system has two or more separate test fluid delivery systems and provides options for selective passive uniform drug delivery to multiple chambers or selective delivery of two or more different drugs to different groups of chambers from different delivery systems so that two different drugs or different concentrations of delivered drugs can be tested simultaneously.

SYNCHRONIZATION OF LIGHTING NETWORKS FOR AGRICULTURE PRODUCTION
20230037527 · 2023-02-09 · ·

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems, apparatuses and methods for synchronous communication and control of LED lights and sensors in an LED light array containing two or more LED lights. Through the use of a master clock within a gateway and/or a master controller that is in communication with LED lights in an array that is in a facility, such as in a greenhouse, hot house, poultry egg production facility, a hospital, dairy production or other lighting facilities, the gateway and/or master controller is capable of synchronizing the emission of light or photons from an LED light array by generating a master signal that contains commands and time from a master clock within the signal that is transmitted to each of the LED lights within an array.

Swine vaccination system
11612470 · 2023-03-28 · ·

A system for vaccinating swine according to one embodiment includes a housing having an open first end and an open opposite second end. The housing has a pair of side walls that are angled and non-parallel to one another such that at the second end only a single piglet can exit at one time. The system also includes a vaccination station for individually vaccinating piglets. The vaccination station is located between the pair of side walls in a region thereof that is sized to only permit one piglet to stand between the side walls. The vaccination station includes at least one sensor that detects the presence of the one piglet within the vaccination station and at least one spray nozzle positioned within the vaccination station such that a vaccine dose discharged therefrom is directed upwardly into facial areas of the piglet effectively.

DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A PULVERULENT PRODUCT
20230090739 · 2023-03-23 · ·

Device for dispensing a pulverulent product comprising a reservoir unit (100) connected on the one hand, to an air expulsion system (200) and on the other hand to a dispensing head (300) provided with a dispensing orifice (310), said reservoir unit (100) comprising a reservoir (110) having substantially the form of a hollow cylinder, with a distal opening (111), a proximal opening (112), and a metering passage (113) connecting said distal and proximal openings (111, 112), a one-way valve (115) being positioned between said metering passage (113) and said distal opening (111), said proximal opening (112) of said reservoir (110) forming a filling cone which tapers towards said metering passage (113) to facilitate filling of said metering passage (113) with a dose of powder.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DELIVERY OF GAS TO A TISSUE

A system for delivery of gas to a tissue, comprises: a first container containing the gas, an applicator having a distal end arranged to deliver the gas to the tissue, a second container containing a purging gas; and a flow control system for controlling flow of gas. The system also comprises a three-port valve having a first port for receiving the gas from the first container, a second port for receiving the purging gas from the second container, and a third port in fluid communication with the applicator. The valve is switchable between a first state at which the first port fluidly connects to the third port, and a second state at which the second port fluidly connects to the third port.

Mapping and quantifying shear stress and hemolysis in patients having LVADS

Provided herein are methods for in-vivo assessment of intraventricular flow shear stress, risk of hemolysis, also the location and extent of blood flow stasis regions and inside a cardiac chamber or blood vessel. Also provided herein are systems for performing such methods. Also provided herein are methods for assessing hemolysis and/or thrombosis risk in patients implanted with an LVAD. LVAD positioning and/or speed may be adjusted based on the results obtained by using methods described herein, and the risk for hemolysis and/or thrombosis can be minimized.

Blood pressure powered auxiliary pump

Methods and devices for a self-contained device including a hydraulic motor and a hydraulic pump. Preferably, the motor is incorporated either within the interior of the pump, on the exterior of the pump, or a combination of the two. The pump increases the kinetic energy of the fluid by centrifugal means, and in some embodiments is a viscous impeller pump. Applications include building flow systems, industrial processes, and biological circulatory systems.

DRUG DEVICE CONFIGURED FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION

This invention relates to an ingestible drug delivery device configured for wireless communication with other ingestible drug delivery devices.

ADJUSTABLE AIRWAY STABILIZATION SYSTEM FOR PATIENT FACIAL GEOMETRIES OF VARIOUS SIZES AND FOR PEDIATRIC AND NEONATAL APPLICATIONS

An airway. stabilization system that may be used with human patients or with animal patients in veterinary applications having anatomical and facial geometries of various sizes and configurations including pediatric, and, in particular, addresses the unique challenges associated with maintaining the mechanical ventilation of infants and children. The stabilization system may be fitted to any airway device or endotracheal tube apparatus of any size to maintain an airway in a human or animal patient’s trachea and allows both lateral and longitudinal adjustment of the airway device insertion depth and prevents unintended extubation of a patient resulting from the application of multidirectional forces of any type to the airway device.

DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A FLUID

A device for administering a fluid can include a cylinder, a piston connected to a piston rod, and a tensioning device connected to the piston rod. The tensioning device includes a ramp which is rotatable via a motor, a ramp track, and a roller which is in contact with the ramp track and which is mounted rotatably in a driver. A dose setting means can be provided which comprises a spacer and a movement unit. The movement unit can move the spacer from a neutral position into an active position between the driver and the cylinder such that the driver is stopped by the spacer and therefore the piston stroke during the movement of the piston to the open dispensing end is shorter in comparison to the case in which the spacer is in its neutral position.
