Method for fabrication of a soft-matter printed circuit board

A fabrication process for soft-matter printed circuit boards is disclosed in which traces of liquid-phase Ga—In eutectic (eGaIn) are patterned with UV laser micromachining (UVLM). The terminals of the elastomer-sealed LM circuit connect to the surface mounted chips through vertically-aligned columns of eGaIn-coated ferromagnetic microspheres that are embedded within an interfacial elastomer layer.

Interferential treatment with modified beat frequency

An electrical interferential technique is used to determine operable treatment parameters which are then used to apply a treatment to a patient. A range of beat frequencies is applied to the patient and an indicator of autonomic nervous system activity is measured. When some degree of autonomic nervous system activity is detected, a subsequent trial is conducted using an overlaying range of frequencies, a narrower range or a single frequency, in an attempt to fine tune the reaction of the autonomic nervous system. The subsequent trial may use a different measure of activity of the autonomic nervous system. A garment having a series of electrode sites thereon may be used for a partially trained person to correctly apply electrodes to the patient's body. The treatments may be conducted while the patient is asleep.

Simultaneous physiological sensing and stimulation with saturation detection

Systems and method may be used for interfacing with a patient. Systems may include a plurality of electrodes in electrical communication with a processor. The processor may be configured to receive sense signals from electrodes and to determine the reliability of the received signal. A test tone signal comprising a test tone frequency may be applied, and the magnitude of the test tone frequency may be analyzed in the received signal. If it is determined that the magnitude of the test tone frequency is below a threshold, the system may take action, such as lowering the gain on an amplifier. Stimulation signals may be applied to the patient at a stimulation frequency simultaneously with one or both of receiving sense signals and providing the test tone signal.

Therapy delivery devices and methods for non-damaging neural tissue conduction block

Devices and methods for blocking signal transmission through neural tissue. One step of a method includes placing a therapy delivery device into electrical communication with the neural tissue. The therapy delivery device includes an electrode contact having a high charge capacity material. A multi-phase direct current (DC) can be applied to the neural tissue without damaging the neural tissue. The multi-phase DC includes a cathodic DC phase and anodic DC phase that collectively produce a neural block and reduce the charge delivered by the therapy delivery device. The DC delivery can be combined with high frequency alternating current (HFAC) block to produce a system that provides effective, safe, long term block without inducing an onset response.

Data ingestion replication and disaster recovery

Described herein are techniques for improving disaster recovery, in particular disaster recovery pertaining to data transfer requests. The data transfer request can be received by each of multiple deployments; however, only a primary deployment can process the request. The data transferred by the primary deployment may be replicated in the secondary deployments. In response to a failover event, one of the secondary deployments can be designated as the new primary development and continue the data transfer based on the data transfer request and the replication information received from the old primary deployment prior to the failover.
