FORMULATIONS CONTAINING ACTIVE OXYGEN COMPOUNDS AND DEVICES FOR APPLICATION THEREOF
The present invention relates to formulations with active oxygen compounds that include active oxygen and other active ingredients for the purposes of care for and/or maintaining and preserving a healthy condition of skin and integumentary systems on the surface of the body of the organism and in the ears, healthy condition of finger- and toenails and of oral cavity, including its mucous membranes, teeth, interdental spaces and periodontal tissues (gingiva) in the oral cavity, i.e. the target areas of the organism. The formulation for skin and integumentary systems on the surface of the body and in the ears and for the finger- and toenails is in the form of a solution, gel, emulsion, lotion, milk, spray, cream, film dressing, liposomes and/or mycelia. The formulation for the oral cavity and related systems and structures, including teeth, interdental spaces and periodontal tissues (gingiva) is in the form of a solution, mouthwash, spray, gel, paste, emulsion, film dressing, liposomes and/or mycelia. These formulations are included in the device for its application on and/or into the said area of the organism.

STABLE MODULATORS OF GAMMA-C-CYTOKINE ACTIVITY
Disclosed herein are stable peptide antagonists based on the consensus yc-subunit binding site to inhibit the activity of yc-cytokines. Such peptide antagonists are capable of inhibiting the activity of multiple yc-cytokine family members. The yc-family cytokines are associated with important human diseases, such as leukemia, autoimmune diseases, collagen diseases, diabetes mellitus, skin diseases, degenerative neuronal diseases and graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). Thus, inhibitors of yc-cytokine activity are valuable therapeutic and cosmetic agents as well as research tools.

Use of a combination of taurine or a derivate thereof and a grape extract for improving the quality of the nails
The invention relates to the oral cosmetic use of a combination of active agents comprising at least taurine, a derivative thereof and/or an acceptable salt thereof and at least one grape extract, as cosmetic active agents for improving the quality of the nails. More particularly, the present invention relates to the oral cosmetic use of such a combination for improving the solidity of the nails and for reducing and/or preventing their splitting.

Covalent treatment for keratin-containing materials
Disclosed are methods of grafting monomeric and polymeric materials on keratin-containing material to provide a covalent coating on keratin-containing material. A mixture comprising a reducing agent is applied to the keratin-containing material sample. The keratin-containing material sample then comprises a plurality of free thiol groups. A monomer is applied to the keratin-containing material sample. The free thiol groups react with the monomer to form a plurality of covalent bonds between the free thiol groups and the monomers. The reducing agent and the monomer can be applied separately, semi-simultaneously, or simultaneously. The disclosed methods can be carried out with or without catalyst. The disclosed methods can be carried out with or without an additive.
