Coating materials, and personal protective clothing items coated with the coating materials
Coating materials and coated personal protective clothing items incorporating the coating material are described. The coating material includes a polymeric component; a metal oxide component; and a catalytic component. The catalytic component includes a metal oxide or a mixed metal oxide which is an effective catalyst for an oxidation reaction. The coated personal protective clothing item includes a personal protective clothing substrate with a coating including the coating material.
Firefighter pants having knee pads
There are provided firefighter protective pants including an inner liner, an outer shell and two pant legs. The outer shell is made of a flame-resistant material and extends over at least a portion of the inner liner. Each of the two pant legs includes a knee sleeve affixed to the inner liner at a knee height inside the corresponding pant leg and a knee pad held on the knee sleeve and extending across a front knee portion of the corresponding pants leg.
Chemical and biological thermal ensemble and composite fabric
The disclosed subject matter relates to chemical and biological protective garments and ensembles (i.e., two-part garments that when worn together cover most of the human body) and composite fabrics used therein. The composite fabrics include embodiments having a fabric cover layer combined with a vapor protective layer.
Flame and heat resistant, releasably connectable wrap for a portable radio, remote speaker microphone, and the cord therebetween
Flaps and wraps that provide heat and flame resistant properties to a remote speaker microphone (RSM) and its cord and firefighter turnout coats having the same are disclosed. The flaps have an elongate body of flame and heat resistant fabric having a head, a tail, opposing first and second major surfaces, an elongate edge encompassing the head and the tail that is sewn to the firefighter turnout coat to form a flap seam to a first of the two front sections proximate the neck section, and a first fastener positioned on the second major surface of the head and the tail at an edge opposite the flap seam. A second fastener, which is mateable to the first fastener, is fixedly attached to the firefighter turnout coat at a position under the flap when the flap is in an attached position.
MULTI-LAYER AIR FILTRATION MEDIA WITH INTEGRATED DISINFECTION CAPABILITY
An air filtration media with integrated disinfection capability. The media has a collection filter for capture of pathogens, and an ultraviolet (UV) radiation source integrated into the collection filter such that the pathogens collected by the collection filter are exposed to UV radiation from the UV radiation source.
COWL NECK BARRIER GOWN WITH ATTACHMENTS
This invention offers a fully protective cowl neck garment with various fasteners designed to attach additional protective gear, such as gloves and shoe coverings. Additionally, a temperature sensor shield is located on the hat and protective mask. This allows the clients or patients the ability to see and to monitor the temperature of their caregivers. The caregiver’s temperature is visible on the hat, as well as the face mask. This makes the caregivers accountable to their clients or patients, as well as their colleagues and coworkers. This invention eliminates the worry of contact with infectious diseases or dangerous liquids, by utilizing elastic manual ties and hook-and-loop fasteners to ensure the garment is secured fully on a user’s body. Overall, this invention ensures medical professionals, firemen, emergency medical personnel, government workers, and so forth, are protected fully from contagious and infectious diseases, liquids, and so forth.
FABRIC, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME AND CLOTHING ITEM USING SAME
The present invention relates to a fabric containing a modacrylic fiber A and a cellulosic fiber, wherein the modacrylic fiber A contains an infrared absorber inside the fiber, and the fabric is dyed with at least a yellow cationic dye, a yellow reactive dye, and a yellow disperse dye. The fabric can be produced by dyeing a fabric containing a modacrylic fiber A and a cellulosic fiber with a cationic dye, a reactive dye, and a disperse dye to exhibit a fluorescent yellow color. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a fabric with excellent arc resistance and visibility, a method for producing the same, and a clothing item using the same.
Firefighter pants having knee pads
Firefighter protective pants including an inner liner, an outer shell and two pant legs.
PPE WITH ROTATING ASSEMBLY PROVIDING MULTIPLE FACE COVERS
A personal protective device (PPE) comprising a face cover assembly and a bodysuit configured to be worn by a human user. The device protects users against airborne aerosol particles containing viruses or other infectious agents while enabling improved flexibility relative to prior art designs. The device includes a helmet-like” rotating face cover assembly that fits over the user's head and attaches to a collar on the biohazard bodysuit. This rotating face cover assembly has a plurality of different mask sides, each with differing geometries or other properties. The device enables a user to rotate (either manually or by electric motor) the masks and select a given mask side that best meets that user's needs. The different mask sides can accommodate different facial geometries, eyewear types, and use cases, such as operation in more hostile environments. Features to improve user comfort, including alternate bodysuit designs, moisture reduction, and cooling are disclosed.
