Personal protective equipment (PPE) with analytical stream processing for safety event detection
In some examples, a system includes an article of personal protective equipment (PPE) having at least one sensor configured to generate a stream of usage data; and an analytical stream processing component comprising: a communication component that receives the stream of usage data; a memory configured to store at least a portion of the stream of usage data and at least one model for detecting a safety event signature, wherein the at least one model is trained based as least in part on a set of usage data generated by one or more other articles of PPE of a same type as the article of PPE; and one or more computer processors configured to: detect the safety event signature in the stream of usage data based on processing the stream of usage data with the model, and generate an output in response to detecting the safety event signature.
CONTAINER FOR PACKAGED FILTRATION MASK
A packaged filtration mask can include a filtration mask packaged in a container in a vacuum or a partial vacuum. The container can be a tearable container, at least a portion of which can include a laminate of a first part and a second part. A resistance to tearing of the second part can be different than a resistance to tearing of the first part.
SENSOR-ENABLED WIRELESS RESPIRATOR FIT-TEST SYSTEM
In some examples, a system includes a respirator; a sensor operatively coupled to the respirator comprising: an electric circuit configured to determine a change in at least one electrical characteristic of a sensing element, wherein the change in the at least one electrical characteristic is based at least in part on detection of a particulate matter; and a computing device configured to: output for display at least one graphical element in a set of graphical elements; in response to receiving the data that is based at least in part on the change in the at least one electrical characteristic of the sensing element, determine, without counting particles of the particulate matter, whether the fit test was satisfied; and in response to the determination whether the fit test was satisfied, perform at least one operation that is based at least in part on the determination whether the fit test was satisfied.

SENSOR-ENABLED RESPIRATOR FIT-TEST SYSTEM WITH CONTEXT-BASED REMEDIAL RECOMMENDATIONS
In some examples, a system includes a respirator configured to be worn by a user; a sensor operatively coupled to the respirator; and a computing device comprising a memory and one or more computer processors, the memory comprising instructions that when executed by the one or more computer processors cause the one or more computer processors to: in response to receiving data from the sensor, determine, during at least one action that is performed by the user and that corresponds to at least one graphical element, that the fit test was not satisfied; determine, based at least in part on particular context data associated with the fit test, at least one remedial recommendation to satisfy the fit test; and output for display the at least one remedial recommendation to satisfy the fit test.
Filter cartridge holder with fit-check device
A cartridge holder for a respirator, the cartridge holder including a fit-check device with a sealing platen that can be actuated between a first, unsealed position and a second, sealed position in which at least a portion of the sealing platen contacts a major surface of a disposable filter cartridge within the cartridge holder so as to prevent airflow through the disposable filter cartridge.

Respirator fit check sealing devices and methods
A respiratory protection device that includes a valve assembly operable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. In some exemplary embodiments, the respiratory protection device includes an elastomeric seal, and a valve assembly and a breathing air source component that are in sealing engagement with the elastomeric seal when the valve assembly is in a closed configuration.
Tool and method for instertion of a probe for fit-testing filtering facepieces
A device that can be used to insert a probe into a filtering facepiece for fit testing. The device preferably includes a holder for the probe; a handle to apply force directly or indirectly to the probe; magnets that assist with alignment of the holder and the handle during a process of inserting the probe into the filtering facepiece; and a spring that facilitates separation of the holder and the handle after insertion of the probe into the filtering facepiece. The holder may further include a puncturing device to facilitate insertion of the probe. The holder and the handle preferably are separate elements positioned opposite each other to apply force to the probe. In some aspects, the holder includes a piston for driving the probe into the filtering facepiece. The spring may surround the piston. The handle preferably includes a recess capable of holding a fastener for the probe. The magnet(s) may be of any shape and type, but preferably are torus shaped neodymium magnets. Also, associated techniques.
