Wet fire protection systems and methods for storage
Fire protection systems and methods of fire protection systems for protection of a stored commodity. The systems and methods included a plurality of fluid distribution devices disposed above the stored commodity and configured for selective identification and controlled actuation in response to a fire. The systems have a hydraulic demand defined by at least one of: i) a hydraulic design area having a minimum operational area of less than 768 square feet; or ii) less than twelve hydraulic design devices.
Pump guard and methods of use thereof
A pump combination guard and methods of use thereof, having an inner housing or guard configured to cover mechanical seal assembly and the motor coupling housed between a drive motor and a fluid pump to enable foam spray nozzles to be directly inserted into the coupling guard housings for fire suppression and an outer “Air scoop” housing or guard configured to direct motor induced airflow over the mechanical seal assembly thereby enabling fire protection and cooling to extend seal life and to protect mechanical seals from pre-mature failure.

Enhanced shipping container apparatus having integrated fire suppression and systems using the same for detecting and responding to an environmental anomaly within the container
An enhanced shipping container apparatus that maintains packages is described having integrated fire suppression. The apparatus has a container base supporting the packages, multiple container walls coupled to the container base, and a container top coupled to each of the container walls. A fire suppression panel is integrated as part of one or more of the walls and top portion, and has a support sheet of fire resistant material; an interior exposed sheet of temperature sensitive material; a sealed boundary connecting the support sheet and interior exposed sheet on peripheral edges (where the sealed boundary, support sheet and interior exposed sheet define a holding cavity), and integrated fire suppression material in the holding cavity. The temperature sensitive material of the interior exposed sheet releases the integrated fire suppressant material from within the holding cavity when the temperature sensitive material of the interior exposed sheet is exposed to a threshold temperature.
Precision Aerial Firefighting and Deluge System for Helicopters and Unmanned Aerial Systems
The precision aerial firefighting and deluge system for helicopters and unmanned aerial systems is a device to attack fires inaccessible to firefighters due to altitude or other obstructions by streaming water or other fire retardant into or onto a specific location on the ground, on the water, or at altitude. The system employs a medium or heavy lift helicopter or unmanned aerial systems one or more tanks or bladders for water and/or fire retardant chemicals, a compressed air foam system, a pump, rigid plumbing lines for outflow of water/fire retardant; a rigid, telescopic boom that extends beyond rotor tip path plane, flexible lines/hoses inside boom; a crew switched electronic boom controller, a boom management system, a flange adapter, an electric, variable direction, crew-controlled fire monitor, a drop-hose, and a dart with inertial feathers.

Battery with extinguishing device, and motor vehicle
A battery for a motor vehicle has a battery wall that encloses a battery interior, an extinguishing agent reservoir situated in the battery interior, in which an extinguishing agent is accommodated, and at least one battery cell that is situated in the battery interior separate from the extinguishing agent. The extinguishing agent reservoir has a reservoir wall for retaining the extinguishing agent, and the reservoir wall has a first wall temperature at a normal operating temperature of the battery cell and has a second wall temperature at a limiting operating temperature of the battery cell. The reservoir wall is designed to maintain sealtightness for retaining the extinguishing agent at the first wall temperature and to be destroyed by the heat at the second wall temperature. The second wall temperature is greater than the first wall temperature, and the reservoir wall may be brought to the second wall temperature by means of the battery cell of the battery. A motor vehicle has an electric motor and a battery according to the invention.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK, GPS-TRACKED MOBILE SPRAYING SYSTEMS, AND A COMMAND SYSTEM CONFIGURED FOR PROACTIVELY SPRAYING ENVIRONMENTALLY-SAFE ANTI-FIRE CHEMICAL LIQUID ON COMBUSTIBLE PROPERTY SURFACES TO PROTECT PROPERTY AGAINST FIRE IGNITION AND FLAME SPREAD IN THE PRESENCE OF WILD FIRE
A GPS tracking and mapping wild fire defense system network configured for defending homes and neighborhoods against threat of wild fire by proactively spraying environmentally-safe anti-fire (AF) chemical liquid on property surfaces to inhibit fire ignition and flame spread in the presence of wild fire. The GPS tracking and mapping wild fire defense system network includes: a command center in operable communication with a wireless communication network; and one or more GPS-tracked mobile anti-fire liquid spraying systems, each having an integrated supply tank and a spray pump deployable at properties having building structures, for spraying the properties with environmentally-clean anti-fire chemical liquid using a spray nozzle assembly connected to said spray pump by way of a fluid connection. The system network further includes: a GPS system for transmitting GPS reference signals from a constellation of GPS satellites deployed in orbit around the Earth, to a GPS transceiver installed aboard each GPS-tracking mobile anti-fire liquid spraying system, for GPS processing and GPS-coordinate location; and one or more mobile computing systems, each for use by a registered user including property parcel owners, spray contractors, and other stakeholders on the system network, to request and receive services supported by said system network. Each mobile computing system has a display screen supporting: messaging services; display of maps indicating where wild fires have been identified and mapped, tracked and ranked in terms of risk to the user and GPS-specified property; and scheduling of spray task to be performed, and recording tasks that been completed, and which are in progress, on the GPS tracking and mapping wild fire defense system network.
