Fire extinguisher with recessed gauge
A fire extinguisher includes a container that has a chamber for holding a fire-extinguishing agent. The container also includes a domed top portion and recessed bottom portion. The domed top portion includes a valve port, and the recessed bottom portion has an edge for standing the container generally upright. The fire extinguisher also includes a valve attached to the valve port of the container and a dispenser attached to the container for operating the valve. The dispenser also includes a handle and a pivotable trigger. Further, the fire extinguisher includes a gauge mounted within the recessed bottom portion of the container. The gauge is configured to display at least one characteristic of the chamber of the container. Also, the gauge is mounted above the edge of the recessed bottom portion.
FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM
Fire extinguishing system (1) comprising a fire extinguisher (2) provided with a handle (5) configured such that upon activation thereof fire extinguishing substance is discharged through an outlet (4) of the fire extinguisher (2). A safety mechanism (6), which when in a first state, is arranged to prevent manual activation of the handle and when in a second state is arranged to allow manual activation of the handle. A control module (7) comprising a communication unit (8) and an actuator (9), wherein the actuator (9) is connected to the safety mechanism (6), and when the communication unit (8) receives a an activation signal the communication unit (8) is arranged to activate the actuator (9), wherein the actuator (9) causes the safety mechanism (6) to change from its first state into its second state and further causes fire extinguishing substance to discharge through the outlet (4) of the fire extinguisher (2).
AUTOMATIC FIRE EXTINGUISHER PROVIDING USER CONVENIENCE
Provided is an automatic fire extinguisher providing a simplified operation method for easily pulling out a safety pin while a handle is strongly grasped and allowing a spray hose to automatically aim a flame, and, furthermore, which is easily recognizable even from a distance when the safety pin is separated at normal times. The automatic fire extinguisher includes a main body vessel (55) in which a fire extinguishing agent is filled, a lower handle (2) coupled to a plug (4) disposed on an upper portion of the main body vessel (55), and an upper handle (1) coupled to the lower handle (2) through a first hinge shaft (19).
Self-fluffing vehicle fire extinguisher
Improvements to a self-fluffing vehicle fire extinguisher where the improvements relate to a system where the extinguisher can be monitored and maintained. Further Improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that is articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. An automatic fluffing motor and manual fluffing wheel. Pressurizing the fire extinguisher can be with an external gas chamber or can be with a compressor that maintains the pressure within the extinguisher. A delivery system can direct the fire extinguishing media to an area of the vehicle that has an elevated temperature or can distribute the media thorough the occupied or unoccupied portion of the vehicle.
Aerosol Fire Extinguisher with Trigger Sprayer
An Aerosol Fire Extinguisher with Trigger Sprayer that can be easily held in one hand that contains in one embodiment of the invention the fire extinguishing agent in a a bag under pressure in an aerosol can and can only be released by pulling the tab of the trigger assembly. In another embodiment of the invention the Aerosol Fire Extinguisher with Trigger Sprayer does not have a bag but utilizes traditional aerosol technology with unique gases. The trigger sprayer is open when the tab is pulled. The Aerosol Fire Extinguisher with trigger sprayer is cylindrical canister housing and a valve for directing the product flowing out of the can. Pulling the tab of the trigger assembly allows pivoting member of the trigger assembly to be able to press down on the stem of the mounting cup of the aerosol can which then allows the pressurized gas in the aerosol can to force the fire extinguishing liquid through the dip tube up through the direction hole into the direction chamber with pressure out the nozzle toward the fire. The user then sprays the fire with the extinguishing agent until the fire is out.
Fire extinguisher with internal mixing and gas cartridge
Improvements to a portable fire extinguisher are disclosed. The improvements allow for frequent and simplified inspection and maintenance of a fire extinguisher with minimal training and without need for custom equipment. The improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that can be articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. Additional improvements include a larger opening to more quickly fill and inspect the powder within the chamber. Another improvement includes the use of a CO.sub.2 cartridge located external to the chamber to allow easier servicing or replacement of just the CO.sub.2 cartridge as well as the ability to maintain the chamber in an un-pressurized condition, allows for non-HASMAT shipping. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.
METHOD OF EXTINGUISHING OR RETARDING FIRE USING NANO-CLAY
A method of extinguishing or retarding fire can include disposing nano-clay onto the fire to retard or extinguish the fire. The nano-clay can be in the form of a powder. The powder can include nanoparticles having a particle size of about 1 nm to about 50 nm. The nano-clay can be used alone or mixed with water.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A fire extinguisher includes a barrel having a chamber with an opening covered by an upper cover that includes a guide-out passage having a tubular portion with a guide-in groove and an inlet. A guide-out groove is defined above a sealing edge and extends to the outside. A gas inlet unit is mounted to the upper cover and is connected to a high pressure steel bottle. A high pressure gas in the high pressure steel bottle can flow through a gas inlet passage into the chamber. A guide-out unit includes a guiding tube unit connected to the tubular portion and a valve connected to the guiding tube unit. The valve is opened when subjected to a pressure from the high pressure steel bottle. A piston valve normally and sealingly abutting a sealing edge of the tubular portion can be moved to a position in sealing contact with the sealing edge.
