Flame retardant and fire extinguishing product for fires in liquids
A novel flame retardant and fire extinguishing product for preventing and fighting fires in liquids is disclosed herein. The product comprises water, one or more flame retardants, one or more polymers, one or more surfactants, one or more emulsifiers, one or more preservatives, and one or more firming agents. In some embodiments, the product may further comprise one or more stabilizers, one or more binders, and/or one or more fining agents. The product may be used as a fire extinguishing agent in active firefighting and as a flame retardant to prevent fires. The product may be biodegradable in a natural environment, may be readily cleaned off equipment and materials to which it has been applied using water, and may also provide other features which render it safe for the environment as compared to other commonly used products in fire prevention and firefighting.
Equipment for the remote control of fire extinguishers and/or hydrants
An equipment for a remote control of fire extinguishers (10) and/or hydrants, comprising a valve group (16), equipped with a manometer and a pressure switch, which is able to control the operating pressure of the known fire extinguishers (10) and/or hydrants, wherein a plurality of micro-switches (18, 19, 20), connected with a wireless transmitter (21), send the received signals to a remote central control unit (22), that is fully programmable locally or remotely and able to send alarms and/or warnings, depending on the programming carried out, to operators, persons in charge and/or maintainers of fire extinguishers (10) and/or hydrants.
EXTINGUISHER WITH TRACKING DEVICE AND MONITORING INSTALLATION FOR VEHICLES
An extinguisher with a tracking device and vehicle monitoring feature. A fire extinguisher has at least one wall and a siphon tube operatively connected thereto. A radio frequency transponder is also provided. An active tag is mounted inside the wall of the fire extinguisher or the siphon tube. At least one reader is installed in a traffic light pole, tower, light pole, or existing radar positions on public roads. The radio frequency transponder uses a UHF frequency of up to 985 MHz or a microwave radio frequency communication between 1.0 and 5.8 GHz. The extinguisher allows communication with the readers, whether fixed or mobile, wherein such antennas with fixed readers will capture and transmit data at a distance of approximately one hundred meters which will be installed in the traffic lights pole that exist on public roads of cities or in street lamps, in order to allow the monitoring of both the extinguisher of the vehicle as well as the vehicle itself, so that if the driver of the vehicle removes the extinguishing vehicle, or moves to a distance of more than three meters from the active tag, it sends a signal to the reader, indicating that communication was lost between both tags. The vehicle must be checked by an authority or nearest vehicle.
Fire suppression system including an integral time delay and output starter with attach and detach firing pin assembly
A two-part starter mechanism for a powder aerosol generator fire suppression system is provided. Generally, the starter mechanism includes a pyrotechnic igniter assembly and a removable mechanical trigger coupled thereto. The igniter assembly is integrally formed with and/or embedded within the powder aerosol generator and operable, upon activation by the mechanical trigger, initiates a chemical reaction leading to the discharge of the powder aerosol fire suppressant. By being detachable, the mechanical trigger may be transported and stored separate from the pyrotechnic igniter thereby improving the overall safety of the fire suppression system.
NOZZLE CAP FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A dispenser cap for a fire extinguisher includes a main body portion that has a generally hemispherical shape. The dispenser cap also includes a securing portion adjacent to the main body portion. The securing portion is configured to be removably attached to a dispenser of the fire extinguisher.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITH RECESSED GAUGE
A fire extinguisher includes a container that has a chamber for holding a fire-extinguishing agent. The container also includes a domed top portion and recessed bottom portion. The domed top portion includes a valve port, and the recessed bottom portion has an edge for standing the container generally upright. The fire extinguisher also includes a valve attached to the valve port of the container and a dispenser attached to the container for operating the valve. The dispenser also includes a handle and a pivotable trigger. Further, the fire extinguisher includes a gauge mounted within the recessed bottom portion of the container. The gauge is configured to display at least one characteristic of the chamber of the container. Also, the gauge is mounted above the edge of the recessed bottom portion.
Compact powder fire-extinguishing device
The present compact powder fire-extinguishing device comprises a container containing a fire-extinguishing powder, said container being in the form of a single-use cartridge (1) containing a fire-extinguishing powder (3), said cartridge being separable from the fire-fighting device by means of a reusable fast-action firing device (4), wherein the fire-extinguishing powder (3) is disposed inside of a casing (2) of the cartridge (1) in a polymer tube (5), one end (6) of which is fastened at an outlet of the casing (2) of the cartridge (1), about the periphery of said casing, and the second end of the tube (5) abuts a sleeve (7) and is configured as a piston (8) having an aperture (9). Within the casing (2) of the cartridge (1) are provided means that generate a propulsive charge and are configured as a striker-type igniter-percussion cap (15) and a pyrotechnic gas generator (16) disposed one after the other, said gas generator being connected to the cavity of the sleeve (7), and the other end of the cartridge (1) is provided with a contoured surface (18) and is connected to the firing device (4) that comprises a mechanism for fastening and discharging the cartridge. Furthermore, the firing device (4) is provided with a striker trigger mechanism that comprises a head (30), a flat striking spring (32) having a striker (33), a hammer (38) connected to a trigger (41), and a safety catch (46).
