EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXTINGUISHING FIRES
An extinguishing system and method for extinguishing fires. The extinguishing system includes—a pump system for pumping extinguishing agent; one or more nozzles connected operatively to the pump system for the purpose of spraying extinguishing agent at a source of fire; a supply or inlet arranged on the pump system for the purpose of supplying extinguishing agent to the pump system; an extinguishing conduit with an extinguishing length arranged on the pump system for the purpose of supplying extinguishing agent to the at least one nozzle; and an extinguishing controller provided with an input system for inputting system data, including data about the extinguishing conduit, the pump system and the at least one nozzle. The extinguishing controller is configured to determine with the system data an operating pressure at or close to the at least one nozzle and thereby control the pump system.
HAZARD DETECTION AND CONTAINMENT
Multiple robotic monitors are located in a hydrocarbon storage or transport facility. Each robotic monitor is communicably coupled to other robotic monitors and includes a heat sensor configured to detect heat emitted by a hydrocarbon tank of the hydrocarbon storage or transport facility. A controller is communicably coupled to the heat sensor and configured to generate a heat signature based on the heat detected by the heat sensor. A pump is communicably coupled to the controller and configured to exert pressure on a fire retardant, responsive to the generation of the heat signature by the controller. An outlet is mechanically coupled to the pump and configured to discharge the fire retardant at the hydrocarbon tank.
Personal Fire-Fighting System
A personal fire-fighting system can extinguish fires in order to save structures such as homes or business buildings. The personal fire-fighting system includes a frame, a water pump system, a suction hose, a high-trajectory nozzle, a rotor sprinkler, and a length-adjustable tube. The frame protects and holds the water pump system, the length-adjustable tube, and the rotor sprinkler in place. The water pump system drives water from the suction hose in order to be outputted by the rotor sprinkler. The suction hose is a fluid conduit between a body of water and the water pump system. The high-trajectory nozzle increases the trajectory angle of water that is outputted by the rotor sprinkler. The rotor sprinkler rotates and outputs streams of water in order to cover large areas. The length-adjustable tube allows the rotor sprinkler to output water at higher areas if needed.
FLUID PUMPING SYSTEM WITH A CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
A technique for providing a water pumping system suitable for fighting wildfire, flood mediation, sewage transport, and the like is revealed. The system includes an internal combustion engine, a CVT with an input shaft and an output shaft, and a pump with an axial flow impeller. In one variation, multiple impeller stages are used and/or several systems are daisy-chained to provide for suitable delivery of water from its source. In another form, the system is carried by an all-terrain vehicle, side-by-side, or the like, to reach remote areas that need to move water to address a hazardous condition.
EMERGENCY STATION AND METHOD OF USE
An integrated, portable, battery-powered, variable-pressure electric liquid pump and power emergency station including a remote wireless communication unit located remotely from and in wireless communication with the emergency station to improve wireless reception in the integrated, portable, battery-powered, variable-pressure electric liquid pump and power emergency station.
Multi-modular aerial firefighting control method and apparatus
A multi-modular aerial firefighting control method and apparatus for use by firefighters to control fire. The multi-modular aerial firefighting control method and apparatus generally includes multi-modular units that are held together to form an aerial firefighting system. The modular units may work together or independently. The multi-modular system comprises more than one modular unit, fluid, fluid conduit, reservoir, air flow generator, multi-modular unit support structure, aerial suspension system and aerial lift system.
Fire Sprinkler Station Mobile
A system for fighting fire, includes a timer unit with an electrical power input and out line. The timer is connected to a flow switch that response to water movement. The water movement occurs when the glass bulb shatters in a sprinkler head. The glass bulb contains a fluid which expands when exposed to heat. When the rated temperature is reached, the fluid expands sufficiently to shatter the glass bulb, allowing the sprinkler to activate and water to flow. The flow of the water tells the flow switch to turn on the timer that is set for in this example one hundred and ten seconds. The timer turns on the pump. The pump gets it water from a water tank. The pump forces the water threw the pressurize pipe system to one or more sprinkler heads. The pressure is maintain by check valves, that hold a constant 40 psi. This system is mobile. The system will need to be maintain every six month. After the system puts out a fire it will need be reset.
