Braking systems for exercise machines
10369449 · 2019-08-06 · ·

A method for using an active braking mechanism to halt the motion of a treadmill belt, or other exercise machine system, when the engine ceases driving it and to hold the belt, or system, after the brake is engaged. The types of braking systems will generally utilize at least one but often two or more forms of electrical braking. Frictional braking systems may also be present, but the electrical braking systems will generally be primarily responsible for braking the belt at high inclines.

Jumping assistance system and method
10369397 · 2019-08-06 ·

A jumping assistance system is disclosed herein. The jumping assistance system includes a base frame assembly, a support stand, an upper frame assembly, and a training harness that combine to provide a secure support structure from which a user may perform a training or exercise routine that involves repeated jumping movements or pull-ups. The jumping assistance system is useful for suspending a user beneath the upper frame assembly by a set of resistance bands or other secure means that may still allow the user's feet to come in contact with the ground. From this supported position, the user may engage in a series of jumping exercises or extended workout routines while minimizing the impact of repeated jumps to their joints, feet, and other body parts. The jumping assistance system also features a series of hinges that allow the support device to be conveniently folded for storage purposes.

Vibrator apparatus for use in physical treatment
10363196 · 2019-07-30 · ·

A vibrator apparatus includes a moving coil, which is rigidly attached to a member, e.g. a frame or beam, of a vibration device. The moving coil is for an elected vibration mode of the apparatus configured to receiving electric signals, e.g. pulsating and/or sinusoidal electric signals, from a signal unit. The moving coil co-operates with a permanent magnet, which is suspended by springs attached to the member, and the coil and the magnet are mutually linearly and coaxially movable upon application of electric signals to the moving coil. An actual distance of movement being part of a distance between extreme positions and being less than the axial length of the moving coil. The springs are located at a distance from a respective axial end portion of the permanent magnet.

An exercise machine is described. The exercise machine includes a frame formed by a pair of front legs pivotally connected with a pair of rear legs. The frame is movable between an expanded position (for use) where the pair of front legs are pivoted away from the pair of rear legs and a collapsed position (for storage) where the pair of front legs are pivoted toward the pair of rear legs. One or more swinging arms hang from and are pivotally connected with the frame. A swinging platform is connected with the swinging arms. Thus, a user can position a body part upon the swinging platform and perform an exercise by swinging the swinging platform.

Gymnastics gear for performance of gymnastic exercises, where the gymnastics gear comprises at least a twisting belt, where the twisting belt comprises a first ring, typically an outer ring, and a second ring, typically an inner ring, where the two said rings are concentrically joined and can rotate in regard to each other about a common axis, where the first ring furthermore comprises at least two connection devices, where said connection devices are preferably arranged symmetrically at the outer periphery of the first ring and adapted for joining to a high-tensile or elastic rope, where the second ring also comprises connection devices at the periphery, where these connection devices are adapted for direct or indirect mounting of connection elements to a somersault belt, where the somersault belt is an inflatable somersault belt comprising at least one chamber and at least one valve, which achieves both a good centering of the somersault belt and a good tightening to the body of the gymnast, and where one and the same somersault belt can be adapted to gymnasts of different size as optimally as possible.

Body suspension exercise device

The present invention relates to a body suspension exercise device primarily comprised of at least one pad, at least one strap, at least one ring with at least one mounting bracket and at least one clip, and at least one rope. In the preferred embodiment, the device has a plurality of pads attached to one another in a radial fashion, wherein the ring encloses the pads. A user can insert their legs into the pads, wherein the pads can then be tightened by the strap. The ring further receives a rope that allows the device to be suspended from an object or structure. Therefore, a user can suspend their legs using the device and perform a plurality of core, abdominal, and upper body exercises.

Postural dynamics exercise system

Exercise apparatuses that may be particularly useful or treating and strengthening connective tissue. For example, apparatuses that may have or be reconfigured to have multiple (e.g., three or more) configurations that are suspended from above by a ceiling or stand. The equipment facilitates the stabilization of the body according to the principle of tensegrity, so that the tension in all movements is omni-directionally coherent, thus creating omni-tensional integrity, which may be helpful in treatment and strengthening of muscular connective tissue (fasciae) in musculoskeletal dynamics, to restore, rebuild, strengthen and regain elasticity within the human fascial network. These apparatuses can support the user at an oblique body angle while the user performs various movements.
