A training apparatus for fast-rope training includes a platform-supporting structure having one or more containers and at least one platform configured for use in fast-rope training. At least one attachment is provided for attaching a fast-rope. The platform-supporting structure is supportable by a surface. The at least one attachment is located higher than the platform and spaced laterally from the platform-supporting structure such that the at least one attachment overhangs the surface so a fast rope can hang from the at least one attachment, past the platform and toward the surface.

The rooftop mount provides proper height and stability for the bars, racks, stands, cages, rigs and riggings, and other exercise equipment that are attached to the container's roof so that the equipment does not move during use by an exerciser. Systems of dedicated workout spaces comprise a first workout space having a plurality of fitness equipment in a first layout, and two or more other dedicated workout spaces adjacent to the first dedicated workout space or at least one of the other dedicated workout spaces, the second plurality of fitness equipment in a second layout, where the first and second layouts may be the same, mirror images of each other about an x axis, mirror images about a y axis, or a combination thereof.

A weight training apparatus includes an electrical hoist and a cable coupled to the electrical hoist. A first end of the cable is coupled to the electrical hoist and a second end is configured to attach to a barbell assembly. A sensor is configured to output a signal indicative of a lift position of the barbell assembly. A controller is programmed to compare the lift position to an predetermined vertical locations and activate the electrical hoist to change the lift position of the barbell assembly based at least in part on at least one of the lift position or vertical lift velocity relative to the predetermined vertical locations.
