Ball and method for its manufacture
10905919 · 2021-02-02 · ·

Described are balls, in particular a football, and a method for its manufacture. The ball comprises particles of an expanded material. As examples, the particles are connected, at least partially, to each other by radio frequency welding and/or infrared welding. As examples, the ball has a first layer of the particles of the expanded material, wherein the first layer is provided as an outer shell.

EXERCISE BALL MANUFACTURING METHOD

Provided is a method for manufacturing an exercise ball which is made by using a pasted ball such as a soft leather ball and which has a lower impact value compared to a conventional yarn-wound ball. The exercise ball comprises a spherical hollow rubber bladder (2) in which compressed air is sealed, and a yarn-wound reinforcement layer (3) formed by evenly winding a filament yarn around the surface of the rubber bladder, wherein the exercise ball is characterized in that nylon filament yarn, obtained by hard twisting two 30-50 denier nylon filaments 1-a, 1-b in a single-direction twist is used as a winding yarn (1).

Ball with sensor

A ball has a hollow ball, a sensor, and a sensor assembling structure. The hollow ball is hollow, is inflatable, and has an inner peripheral surface. The sensor is disposed at a central position inside the hollow ball. The sensor assembling structure has an installation assembly and a thermal insulation coat. The installation assembly has multiple connecting members. Each one of the multiple connecting members is made of a thermal insulation material and is connected to the inner peripheral surface of the hollow ball. The thermal insulation coat is connected to the multiple connecting members and is wrapped around the sensor for thermally insulating the sensor. The sensor assembling structure retains the sensor at the central position inside the hollow ball for collecting data and improving efficiency during training of athletes.

Game ball having a reduced moment of inertia

A game ball configured for organized, competitive play and having a total mass. The game ball includes an inflatable bladder, a layer of reinforcing material surrounding the bladder, an elastomeric layer surrounding the bladder, and a plurality of cover panels positioned over the layer of reinforcing material and the elastomeric layer. The bladder has a bladder mass that is greater than 25 percent of the total mass. The elastomeric layer and the layer of reinforcing material have a collective mass that is less than 55 percent of the total mass. The game ball is formed without one or more of electronics, batteries and charging coils.

Hydrophilic AIOL with bonding

An accommodating intraocular lens comprises a first lens component, a second lens component, and an adhesive between portions of the two lens components. The cured adhesive bonds the lens components to form a fluid chamber. The lens components are bonded to one another along a seam which extends circumferentially along at least a portion of the lens components. The lens components may comprise the same polymer material. The cured adhesive also comprises the polymer or a prepolymer of the polymer to provide increased strength. The polymer is hydratable such that the lens components and the cured adhesive therebetween can swell together to inhibit stresses between the lens components and the cured adhesive.
