POSITIONING SYSTEM AND POSITIONING METHOD
A positioning system includes a golf ball and a mobile terminal. The golf ball includes a battery and a transmitter configured to operate with electric power supplied from the battery and transmit a radio signal to outside of the golf ball. The mobile terminal includes a receiver configured to receive the radio signal from the golf ball and a processor configured to measure the position of the mobile terminal, and to measure the position of the golf ball based on the strength of the radio signal received by the receiver at two or more points at which the measured position of the mobile terminal differs.
GOLF BALL WITH BUILT-IN IC CHIP
A golf ball includes: a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag including an IC chip and an antenna; a protection layer surrounding the outer periphery of the RFID tag; a relaxation layer surrounding the outer periphery of the protection layer; a core surrounding the outer periphery of the relaxation layer; and a cover surrounding the outer periphery of the core. The curing temperature of the protection layer is 60° C. or less, and the protection layer is formed with a material having a hardness of Shore D 60 or more. The relaxation layer is formed with a thermoplastic elastomer-based material having a hardness with a difference from a hardness of a surface of the core on a side contacting the relaxation layer of Shore D 20 or less.
Position Reckoning System Utilizing a Sports Ball
A sports ball position reckoning system, comprising instrumentation in a sports ball that allows one or more players to be electronically located on a playing field or court each time a goal attempt is made. The instrumentation is configured to fit through the opening of an inflation port of the ball when the fill valve is removed. The system works in conjunction with a performance monitor system that detects ball interactions with a goal and is used to trigger the system to analyze the ball flight path just prior to the goal interaction. Player position is ascertained through the localization of the initial position of the ball's flight path. For multiple players, each player is pre-assigned a uniquely marked ball. The identity of the player who executed the attempt is determined through the player's association with the ball that executed the flight path towards the goal.

GOLF BALL
In a golf ball having a core and a cover of one or a plurality of layers that encases the core, the core or at least one layer of the cover is formed of a resin composition which contains from 5 to 250 parts by weight of a mechanoluminescent material that receives mechanical energy and luminesces per 100 parts by weight of a base material which is a rubber material or a resin material. This golf ball has an excellent visibility in that, even under dark conditions, the ball impact site can be clearly confirmed visually at the time of impact. Moreover, the ball is able to maintain a good scuff resistance.
Autonomous systems and methods for still and moving picture production
Systems and methods facilitate autonomous image capture and/or picture production. A location unit is attached to each tracked object. An object tracking device receives location information from each location unit. A camera control device controls, based upon the location information, at least one motorized camera to capture image data of at least one tracked object.
Basketball sensing apparatus
An apparatus includes a non-transitory computer-readable medium to direct a processor to: receive signals indicating a made basketball shot or a missed basketball shot of a basketball by a person during a basketball shooting session, receive signals indicating a location from which each made basketball shot is made, and determine and output a user cumulative score for the person for the basketball shooting session, the cumulative score being based upon the location of each made basketball shot.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FOOTBALL BROADCASTING AND GAMEPLAY
Improvements regarding aspects of football are described, including with regard to tools and methods facilitating game and league play, as well as tools and methods for broadcast, including capture and presentation of broadcast for football.
Hollow Plastic Ball
A hollow plastic ball includes two semi-spherical shells combined together. Each of the two semi-spherical shells has a surface provided with a plurality of holes and has an inner circumferential face provided with a horizontal rib and a semi-circular vertical rib. Thus, each of the two semi-spherical shells is provided with the horizontal rib and the semi-circular vertical rib, so that the hollow plastic ball will not move or sway freely during flight. In addition, the horizontal rib and the vertical rib of each of the two semi-spherical shells reinforce the structural strength of the hollow plastic ball to prevent the hollow plastic ball from being deformed.
