METHOD, DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR SNOW PROFILE MEASUREMENT
Methods, devices and computer systems utilize ground penetrating radar (GPR) embedded in or mounted on a ski or other equipment that is in contact with the snow during use device in order to obtain snow profile data from layers of snow or ice. A GPR device may include a trained model capable of deriving snow profile information based on GPR data and may also be capable of uploading GPR data to an online service. The online service can use the received GPR data to derive snow profile information, distribute snow profile information to user devices, and generate and distribute updated trained models. The online service may access online repositories of additional information and refine the snow profile information or the trained model based on such addition information. Generated snow profile information can be used to provide avalanche risk assessments.
ACCESSORY HOLDER FOR ATTACHING AN ACCESSORY TO A SURFACE
An accessory holder includes a base portion configured to mount to a mounting surface. The accessory holder further includes an extension extending from the base portion and having a channel defined therein. The channel is configured to receive an accessory. The accessory may be a ski pole where the mounting surface is a snow sport equipment.

Method and system for the continuous ranking of competitors during a race of a slalom skiing sports discipline
A method for the continuous ranking of a competitor during a race of a slalom skiing type sports discipline includes the following iterative steps: a step of measuring the variation in the lateral angle of the gliding board about a predefined axis, a step of detecting the moment when the angle passes through a predefined value, a step of recording the competitor's run time corresponding to the detected moment, a step of comparing the stored run time with those of the preceding competitors for the corresponding detected moment, and a step of ranking the competitor with respect to the preceding competitors as a function of the run time of each competitor. A ranking system implements the method.
Downhill Snow Ski Sound System
A downhill snow ski sound system comprises a speaker coupled to a binding of a snowboard or ski. An orifice is located at a perimeter of the binding and a strap is coupled to and extends from the orifice. The speaker is releasably coupled to the binding by the strap. The speaker is positioned adjacent the binding with less than an inch between the speaker and the binding. The speaker is also positioned directly on and contacting the ski-board.
Ski sense
An apparatus, system and method for ski training are disclosed herein for providing feedback to a skier regarding the orientation of their skis. The apparatus, system and method measure various distances between a first ski and a second ski, determine an angle between the first ski and the second ski based on information representative of various distances; and provide an indication of the measured angle.
CONNECTING STRAPS FOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES
Connecting straps for use for example in sports activities and methods of attaching the connecting straps. Embodiments of the connecting straps include integral features for providing a variety of secure connections that are quick and easy to make and to disconnect, while also being lightweight and providing an elegant appearance.
Pole handle
A pole handle having a fastening mechanism for a hand strap with loop strips at variable lengths with a clamping element mounted in a recess. The recess is a through-opening of which the lower opening opens within a rear handle region, and the upper opening towards the upper side of the handle. The clamping element has a lever arranged in the through-opening and a head region projecting upwards out of the recess and has a loop opening and a pressure-exerting surface. The loop strips are guided through the through-opening, past the lever, and through a loop opening of the clamping element, the free ends of the loop strips exiting at the top. The clamping element can be secured in a clamping position in which the loop strips are clamped in a releasable manner, and the clamping action can be released by the clamping element being tilted around a rotary pin.

Front unit of a touring ski binding with a mounting arrangement for crampons
A fastening assembly for a ski crampon includes a hinge pin having a mounting portion and a securing portion. The mounting portion has a smaller dimension in a first direction and a larger dimension in a second direction, the first and second directions orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the hinge pin. The securing portion has substantially the same dimension in the first and second directions. A mounting fastening portion defines a gap and an opening. The gap and the opening each extends substantially transversely to a ski longitudinal direction and substantially parallel to the ski surface. The gap receives the mounting portion of the hinge pin, which is inserted through the opening. The dimension of the opening in the ski longitudinal direction is larger than the dimension of the mounting portion in the first direction and smaller than the dimension of the mounting portion in the second direction.
