SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PLAYING BASKETBALL
20170296908 · 2017-10-19 ·

A method for playing basketball in a court having first and second sidelines and a basket located at each opposed end of the court on a long axis of the rectangle includes providing a reduced court with third and fourth sidelines within the first and second sidelines, and a central line (fifth line) along a length of the court, wherein the third and fourth sidelines define an area between 70% to 80% of a regular court; and selectively playing a first game type based on the central line with two classes of players with between 4 and 16 players or playing a second game type inside the third and fourth sidelines with 8 or less players.

ARTIFICIAL TURF SYSTEM AND METHOD OF INSTALLING SAME
20170319943 · 2017-11-09 ·

The disclosures made herein are directed to artificial turf systems and installation techniques that are adapted for providing a target maximum shock rating (i.e., “Gmax” rating) without the use of compliant infill materials such as, for example, crumbled rubber. More specifically, such disclosures are directed to artificial turf systems and installation techniques that achieve such target maximum shock rating without the use of compliant infill materials even in applications where the artificial turf system is installed over a substantially non-displacing support surface such as asphalt or crushed stone. Furthermore, such artificial turf systems and installation techniques can be specifically configured for use on a support surface that is substantially impermeable to liquid that might drain off of or through the artificial turf.

Diverging and converging swells to make surfing waves

Disclosed in the current invention is a way to build a low cost and highly efficient surf pool by using diverging and converging swells to create waves for surfing. When a plurality of individual plunger wave generating devices or a single triangle pyramid shaped plunger, force a diverging swell into a first end of a surf pool. The swell then diverges or expands outward until the swell is wide enough to break over an artificial surfing reef. When a plurality of individual plunger wave generating devices in different opposite locations in the surf pool pushes a swell into the surf pool, as the swell transverses it converges into a single swell, which then continues to travel and breaks over an artificial surfing reef.

MODULAR FLOORING SYSTEM AND SUBFLOOR ASSEMBLY
20210396025 · 2021-12-23 ·

A modular flooring system for performance weightlifting and similar activities is provided. The modular flooring system is constructed from one or more individual flooring modules that are interlocked and connected together to provide a customized flooring surface platform. The modular flooring system can include a lifting platform module having a hardwood top surface layer and a subfloor construction. The modular flooring system can include a drop-zone platform module having a rubberized top surface layer and a subfloor construction designed to absorb and withstand the force impact of dropped weights onto the top surface layer. The subfloor construction of the drop-zone module can include an upper subfloor layer, an intermediate subfloor layer and a lower subfloor layer. The intermediate and lower subfloor layers can each including alternating panel sections with one panel section constructed from a foam-based material.

A system for lighting a volleyball court has four corner light assemblies, two side center light assemblies, and four mid-court light assemblies. Each corner light assembly has an upper light fixture adapted to emit light outward and downward at a level generally below a player's eye level and a lower light element mounted in a manner to emit light outwards and upwards. Each side center light assembly has two lower light fixtures adapted to emit light outward and downward at a level generally below a player's eye level and an upper light assembly adapted to emit light outwards and upwards at a level generally above a player's eye level. Each mid-court light assembly has a light fixture adapted to emit light outward and downward at a level generally below a player's eye level. By ensuring that no light is emitted at a player's eye level, glare is significantly reduced.
