HEATING ASSEMBLY FOR A CHROMATOGRAPHY SYSTEM
A heating assembly (100) for a chromatography system (1000) comprises primary and auxiliary heating tubes (110H, 120H) made of an electrically conductive material, and forming at least part of an inner and outer tube, respectively. The inner and outer tubes are mechanically and electrically interconnected. The primary and auxiliary heating tubes axially overlap at least along a subsection length (L) of the inner and outer tubes for transferring auxiliary heat from the auxiliary heating tube to the primary heating tube. The heating assembly comprises a pair of electrodes (130, 131), arranged for forming an electrical path (180) running in series through the primary and auxiliary heating tubes. The auxiliary heating tube comprises an extendible section (125) such as a bellows to axially extend or shorten for compensating any difference in thermally induced contraction or expansion, respectively, between the inner and outer tubes.

Ruggedized dewar unit for integrated Dewar detector assembly
An Integrated Dewar Detector Assembly (IDDA) is presented. The IDDA comprises: a cold finger base; an elongated Dewar envelope having a proximal end associated with the cold finger base and a distal end comprising an optical window; an elongated tubular cold finger located inside said elongated Dewar envelope and having a proximal end at the cold finger base and a distal end for carrying a detector so as to expose the detector to incoming radiation through said optical window; an internal front support member extending from an inner surface of the Dewar envelope at its distal end to the distal end of the cold finger; and at least one wideband dynamic vibration absorber assembly located outside the Dewar envelope and attached to at least one location on an exterior surface of the Dewar envelope, said dynamic vibration absorber thereby attenuating vibration of the cold finger and the detector.
Arrangement and method for damping vibrations during microscopic examinations
An arrangement for damping vibrations during microscopic examinations of inorganic and organic material specimens in an evacuated measuring at low temperatures that are cooled by an electromechanical cryocooler suppresses transfer of vibrations from the cryocooler onto the specimen, the microscope table and the instrument table. The arrangement includes a cryocooler unit and a microscopy unit combined with a damping unit preferably located on a common longitudinal axis. The damping unit has a series arrangement of inter-coupled evacuable compensation chambers arranged along the longitudinal axis, the series arrangement being combined with damper groups, two of which act at least diametrically. A clamping unit is operationally connected to the damping unit at at least two points on the series arrangement. A tension force of the damping unit is adjustable.
