RADIAL SEAL FOR SPIN-ON FILTER
A filtration system including a housing defining an internal volume. The housing includes a housing first end, a housing second end, and a first coupling member formed in the housing. The housing first end is an open end. The housing second end is a closed end. A filter element is positioned within the internal volume of the housing. The filter element is configured to engage the first coupling member. A filter head is provided. A seal member is disposed between the housing first end and the housing second end. The seal member provides a radial seal directly between the housing and the filter head.
Method for Producing a Water Separator, and Water Separator
In a method for producing a water separator, a support structure surrounding annularly a longitudinal axis and a hydrophobic screen fabric are provided. By ultrasound or by laser radiation, a material of the support structure is plastified in regions that are radially outward at the support structure in relation to the longitudinal axis to generate plastified regions. The hydrophobic screen fabric is arranged at an outer circumferential side at the support structure and the hydrophobic screen fabric is pressed into the plastified regions. A water separator is provided that has a support structure surrounding annularly a longitudinal axis and a hydrophobic screen fabric of a material that is transparent for a laser radiation. The hydrophobic screen fabric is arranged at an outer circumferential side at the support structure and has sections embedded in radially outwardly positioned regions of the support structure.
Oil and aqueous phase separator
Oil and aqueous phase separator device comprising: a basket that comprises a frame having a plurality of supporting arms and fitting means for linking to other phase separator devices; a top lid of the basket; a hydrophobic mesh linked to the basket and supported by the plurality of supporting arms; a plurality of floats linked to the frame of the basket; a housing for an additional float formed on the upper edge of the frame of the basket; and discharging means linked to the basket.
Method for producing ferulic acid from corn brans in high purity and high yield
The present disclosure relates to a series of preparation methods including extraction, separation, purification, and commercialization of ferulic acid, which is a highly functional material from corn brans (a by-product of grain), and more specifically, to a preparation method wherein ferulic acid is extracted from corn brans (a by-product of grain) in high yield by a novel method, and the extracted ferulic acid is separated and purified in high yield and high purity by an economical method, followed by commercialization.

COMPOSITE FOR OIL-WATER SEPARATION, SYNTHESIS METHODS AND APPLICATIONS OF SAME
Certain aspects of the invention relate to a method of synthesizing a composite usably for oil-water separation comprising surface nanostructuring a pristine powder or porous material to form a nanostructured powder or porous material having surfaces with nanoscale features; and coating single or multilayers of one or more low surface energy oligomers, polymers, or their composites with other materials on the surfaces of the nanostructured powder or porous material.
MULTI-POINT FLOW PATH FOR FUEL TANK
A multi-path cleaning system is provided for a fuel tank. The multi-path cleaning system includes a controller, a fuel polisher, and a plurality of controllable valves. The plurality of controllable valves are operatively connected to the controller, and each valve fluidly coupled to at least one of the inlet and outlet of the fuel polisher on a first side and the interior of the fuel tank on a second other side. The pump, when operated, causes fuel to be drawn through the inlet and discharged at the outlet of the fuel polisher, and to pass through at least one filter/water separator. Selective operation of the plurality of valves by the controller selectively fluidly couples portions of the interior of the fuel tank to the inlet and the outlet of the fuel polisher, thereby creating a plurality of fluid flow paths through the interior of the fuel tank.
Liquid container monitoring and filtration system
The invention is directed to a liquid container monitoring and maintenance system. In an aspect, the liquid container monitoring and maintenance system (LCMMS) is a self-contained system that is compatible to monitor and maintain various liquids stored in various types and sizes of containers. In such aspects, the LCMMS is an all in one solution for monitoring and maintaining the liquid within the container. The LCMMS is configured to be an external system that can couple to various storage containers via various access ports. The LCMMS is configured to automatically monitor and maintain the liquid contained within the container. In an aspect, the LCMMS can be remotely controlled, as well as provide reporting to various users.
Frying Apparatus Having Oil Recycling and Purifying Function and Frying Oil Separating Function
The present invention can provide a frying apparatus having an oil recycling and purifying function and a frying oil separating function including: a main body casing, at least one oil tank, a cooking heater, an oil purifying and circulating unit, a rotary drive unit, and an oil-outflow preventive cover, whereby a cooking oil used for cooking fried foods can periodically or continuously purified and recycled to have a constant purity, thus cooking the fried foods hygienically and also improving the taste of the fried foods, minimizing the consumption of the cooking oil to reduce costs.
Carbon nanotube material and method for the separation of liquids
There is disclosed a material for separating a liquid from a mixture of at least two liquids, for example, for separating water from fuel. In one embodiment, the material comprises a fibrous substrate and carbon nanotubes, both of which have at least one functional group attached thereto. There is also disclosed a method for separating one liquid from another liquid using the disclosed material. In one embodiment, the method comprises flowing a mixture of liquids through the disclosed material, and either coalescing or separating at least one liquid by use of the carbon nanotubes.
