A SCREEN CYLINDER
The present invention relates to a screen cylinder that is particularly suitable for screening, filtering, fractionating, or sorting cellulose pulp or fiber suspensions of the pulp and paper industry or other similar suspensions. The present invention relates more particularly to screening devices of the type comprising a plurality of screen wires positioned axially and at a small spacing parallel to each other, and a plurality of bar-wires arranged in a reverse orientation to the screen wires.
Filter assembly with water evacuation and methods
A filter assembly, a filter cartridge and method of filter fluid are provided. The filter assembly includes a filter base, a filter housing and a filter cartridge within the housing. The filter cartridge strips water from the dirty fluid flowing through the assembly. The filter cartridge defines a pair of fluid flow paths extending through a central cavity thereof. The fluid flow paths carry and keep separated a flow of cleaned fluid after it passes through filter media of the cartridge as well as the water that has been stripped from the dirty fluid flow.
FUEL FILTER
A fuel filter used with a supply of liquid fuel and with an engine has a housing formed with a filter chamber, with inlet and outlet ports respective connected to the supply and to the engine and opening into the chamber, and with a throughgoing return passage juxtaposed with the filter chamber and extending between a return-fuel inlet connected to the engine and a return-fuel outlet connected to the tank. A filter element is in the chamber between the inlet and outlet ports. Fuel moves in a circuit from the supply to the inlet port, thence through the filter element in the chamber, thence out the outlet port to the engine where a portion of the fuel is consumed and a portion of it is heated and flowed back to the return-fuel inlet, and thence through the passage and out the return-fuel outlet to the supply.
SELF-CLEANING OIL FILTER HOUSING
A self-cleaning oil filter housing is disclosed. The self-cleaning oil filter housing includes a hollow elongated body. The hollow elongated body has a central axis and a transverse axis perpendicular to the central axis. The self-cleaning oil filter housing includes a first flange provided on an outer surface of the hollow elongated body. The first flange has a first through hole along a first tangential direction. The self-cleaning oil filter housing includes a second flange provided on the outer surface of the hollow elongated body. The second flange has a second through hole along a second tangential direction. An angle between the first tangential direction and the second tangential direction is pre-determined. The self-cleaning oil filter housing includes a rib portion extending between the first flange and the second flange.
Layered particles for retrieving DNA released from cells from a gastrointestinal tract sample and methods for making and using them
In alternative embodiments, the invention provides compositions such as devices, pills, beads, capsules, products of manufacture, particles, microparticles, nanoparticles, gels, liquid gels, liquid gel capsules, capsules, tablets, geltabs, liquids, sprays, emulsions, suspensions, pastes or yogurts, for the detection and isolation of biomarkers, nucleic acids, proteins or peptides, proteoglycans, lipids, fats, sugars or polysaccharides in the gastrointestinal tract for e.g., detecting the presence of particular exogenous or endogenous nucleic acids, e.g., DNA or RNA, or proteins, in the gastrointestinal tract, for example, to diagnose the presence of an infectious or exogenous agent such as a virus, a fungus, a parasite, a bacteria, intestinal helminths and protozoan parasites, and the like, or a biomarker such as a cancer-causing or cancer-predisposing allele, e.g., mutations of the KRAS2 oncogene in pancreatic cancer. In alternative embodiments, compositions of the invention comprise magnetic particles such as a magnetically-responsive microparticle or nanoparticle; a superparamagnetic bead or polystyrene bead; a superparamagnetic fine particle; a ferrimagnetic particle; or, a magnetic microsphere, nanosphere, microbead or nanobeads. In alternative embodiments, the invention provides methods for detecting, retrieving, capturing or isolating a sample of a nucleic acid, or an anionic, cationic or hydrophobic protein or peptide, a mucin, a phosphoprotein, a proteoglycan or a polysaccharide, in vivo.
Fuel filter
A fuel filter assembly includes a filter housing defining a cavity, a center stack having a base component and a top portion. The center stack is positioned within the cavity of the filter housing and attached to the housing, the center stack having an axial aperture in the top portion, the axial aperture having a circumferential surface, and a fuel filter. The fuel filter includes a filter base, an end cap having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface, an axial extension that extends from the bottom surface, and at least one prong attached to the axial extension, the at least one prong having an axial surface facing away from the top surface that axially locates the fuel filter in the housing against the circumferential surface, a filter element attached to the bottom surface of the end cap, and a pin attached to a filter base.
Fuel water separator having filter and sensor
A fuel water separator is provided. The fuel water separator includes a filter having a top end cap and a bottom end cap. A sensor is coupled to the top end cap of the filter. A probe is configured to be coupled to the sensor and to the bottom end cap. The probe is configured to be positioned outside the filter between the top end cap and the bottom end cap.
Filtering assembly comprising a filter cartridge
The present invention relates to a filtering assembly for filtering at least one fluid flowing in particular in a hydraulic motor or device, comprising: —a filter body which comprises a vessel and a cover which are configured to engage with one another in order to enable the filter body to close, —a tube, in particular a central tube, inside the filter body extending along a longitudinal axis (X), —a removable filter cartridge which is housed in the filter body and includes an upper end plate, a lower end plate and a filter medium which extends between the upper end plate and the lower end plate, the filter cartridge having a tubular opening for surrounding the tube, characterized in that the cover has a circular rib which is formed such as to project into an inner space of the filter body, and in that the upper end plate has a circular edge which is designed to sealingly engage radially and inwardly with said circular rib of the cover.
Oval filter with exterior elliptical radial seal and internal support structure
Various embodiments relate to a filter element. The filter element includes a first endplate that defines a first endplate opening and a second endplate. Filter media is positioned between and extending axially between the first endplate and the second endplate. The filter media defines a central opening extending axially therein. A support structure is disposed within the central opening of the filter media and is attached to the first endplate and the second endplate. The support structure includes an axial lobed extension that extends from a first end of the support structure to a second end of the support structure. The support structure is configured to resist collapse of the filter element.
Error diagnosis device and error diagnosis method
The error diagnosis device has: an input unit that receives a downstream pressure value and an upstream pressure value, said downstream pressure value being detected on the downstream side of a fuel pump and said upstream pressure value being detected on the upstream side of the fuel pump; and a determination unit that, if the downstream pressure value is less than a preset first threshold value, determines whether or not the upstream pressure value is less than a preset second threshold value. The determination unit determines that an error has occurred further upstream than the fuel pump if the upstream pressure value is less than the second threshold value and determines that an error has occurred in the fuel pump if the upstream pressure value is at least the second threshold value.
