Since a detergent is a consumption article, it is desirable that a use amount of the detergent be as small as possible in a limit that the washing effect is not substantially reduced. Provided is an automatic analyzer which includes a syringe pump which is connected to a probe and performs the body aspiration and discharge, a feed pump which feeds washing water for washing the inside of the probe to the probe via the syringe pump and a controller which controls the dispensing mechanism and the syringe pump, in which the controller, in a case of washing the probe by sucking a detergent in the probe a plurality of times, controls the syringe pump so as to discharge the detergent after sucking the detergent and to suck the next detergent without feeding the washing water to the probe by the feed pump.

FLUID EJECTION DIES WITH FLUID CLEANING STRUCTURES

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluid ejection die is described. The fluid ejection die includes a fluid feed slot to deliver fluid from a reservoir to an array of nozzles. Each nozzle of the array includes an ejection chamber, an opening, a fluid actuator disposed within the ejection chamber, and a fluid channel between the fluid feed slot and the ejection chamber. The fluid ejection die also includes a fluid cleaning structure to allow live cells in the fluid to pass to the nozzle while capturing other components.

WASTE LIQUID CHAMBER, WASTE LIQUID TREATMENT APPARATUS, AND SAMPLE ANALYZER

A waste liquid chamber, a waste liquid treatment apparatus, and a sample analyzer are provided. The waste liquid chamber includes a body, a receiving cavity provided inside the body, a plurality of liquid inlets, a vent, a liquid outlet, a first plate received in the receiving cavity, and at least one guide tube. The first plate is located between the vent and the liquid outlet. A nozzle at one end of each guide tube is in communication with one liquid inlet to introduce a waste liquid into the guide tube, and a nozzle at the other end is provided below the first plate. The waste liquid chamber can prevent the waste liquid and/or a foam therefrom in the receiving cavity from running into the vent, and thus can effectively solve the reliability problem of waste liquid treatment caused by the increase of testing speed of the sample analyzer.

Automatic Analysis Device

Provided is an automatic analysis device that avoids carryover and prevents deterioration of analysis performance without controlling reaction cell position. This automatic analysis device is provided with: a reaction cell in which a sample and a reagent are mixed and allowed to react; a light source that radiates light onto the mixed liquid of the sample and the reagent, which has been dispensed into the reaction cell; a detector that detects the light radiated from the light source; and a cleaning mechanism that cleans the reaction cell. The cleaning mechanism includes an intake nozzle that draws in liquid from the reaction cell and a discharge nozzle that discharges the liquid into the reaction cell; the intake nozzle and the discharge nozzle can move vertically; and the intake nozzle is cleaned by lowering the intake nozzle into the reaction cell, in which a cleaning liquid or cleaning water have been accumulated, without drawing in the cleaning liquid or the cleaning water.

Automatic analyzer

Provided are an automatic analyzer and an analysis method for the automatic analyzer, the analyzer including a dispensing mechanism having a nozzle part for dispensing a liquid; a liquid supply part for supplying the liquid to the dispensing mechanism; a temperature increasing part for increasing the temperature of liquid to be supplied from the liquid supply part to the dispensing mechanism; and a control part for controlling the dispensing mechanism, the temperature increasing part, and the liquid supply part. In accordance with information relating to whether a requested analysis is continually performed, the control unit controls the liquid supply part such that, if the analysis is not continually performed, the temperature of liquid supplied from the liquid supply part is increased by the temperature increasing part, and the liquid of the increased temperature is then supplied to the nozzle part of the dispensing mechanism.
