SUPPORT-RING AND GRINDING-RING WITH A RADIUSED INTERFACE
A base and ring assembly for a grinding mill includes a base structure with a support plate, an annular support-ring fixedly secured to and positioned above the support plate. The support-ring has a radially inward facing convex surface that extends from a support-ring lower axial end to a support-ring upper axial end. The assembly includes an annular grinding-ring that has a radially outward facing concave surface which extends from a grinding-ring lower axial end to a grinding-ring upper axial end. The grinding ring has a radially inward facing grinding surface. The radially outward facing concave surface is complementary in shape to and engages the radially inward facing convex surface.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPGRADING A PULVERIZER
A method of upgrading a vertical spindle pulverizer includes the steps of removing a cover from a journal opening in a housing of the pulverizer to access a grinding zone of the pulverizer, removing a first journal assembly having a toroidal grinding roll from the pulverizer through the journal opening, removing a plurality of toroidal table segments from a grinding table of the pulverizer, installing a plurality of inclined bull ring segments on the grinding table, installing a second journal assembly having a conical grinding roll in the pulverizer, and replacing the cover over the journal opening. The inclined bull ring segments are configured to register with a grinding surface of the conical grinding roll.
KEY GRINDING PAN SEGMENT, GRINDING PAN SEGMENT SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR SAME
The invention relates to a replaceable key grinding pan segment for a grinding track of a grinding pan of a roller mill, the grinding track having an annular shape with an outer circumference and an inner circumference around a center point. The length of the inner edge of the key grinding pan segment closer to the center point is greater here than the length of the outer edge further from the center point. The invention also relates to a grinding pan segment system, a roller mill, and a method for replacing grinding pan segments.
Grinding device
A grinding device, in particular a vertical mill for grinding a grinding material, the grinding device including at least two grinding elements that are movable relative to one another, wherein the two grinding elements together form at least one grinding portion in which the grinding material is grindable by the two grinding elements; and at least one contact pressure device including at least one hydraulic cylinder including a cylinder operating chamber and at least one gas spring including a spring operating chamber, wherein the cylinder operating chamber and the spring operating chamber are flow connected with one another, wherein a contact force is impartible upon at least one of the grinding elements by the at least one contact pressure device and the grinding elements are pressable onto one another by the contact force.
Planetary roller mill for processing high moisture feed material
A planetary roller mill for processing a feed material includes a vessel with a grinding ring having an opening therethrough and a first area. The grinding ring is in sealing engagement with the inside surface of the vessel assembly. At least two non-circular support plates are secured to a rotatable shaft. Each plate has an axially facing surface. A plurality of rollers rotatably are mounted to and positioned between the two support plates. Each of the plurality of rollers are in grinding communication with the grinding surface. The planetary roller mill includes an air supply system having an outlet in communication with the opening in the grinding ring. Areas of the two support plates are of magnitudes which configure a flow area through the opening of at least 30 percent of the first area to provide a predetermined quantity of heated air to remove moisture from the feed material in the grinding assembly.
System, method and apparatus for servicing a pulverizer
A system for servicing a pulverizer includes a pulverizer having a housing, a journal assembly pivotally connected to the housing, a grinding mechanism operatively connected to the journal assembly, and an opening within the housing adjacent to the journal assembly and providing an access point to an interior of the housing, and a hoist apparatus mounted to the housing. The hoist apparatus includes a frame assembly received about the opening in the housing, a sheave assembly including a plurality of sheaves supported by the frame assembly, a motor operatively connected to one of the plurality of sheaves, and a cable received by the sheave assembly. The motor is operable to at least one of retract the cable through the sheave assembly to rotate a component out of the pulverizer through the opening and controllably let out the cable to rotate the component into the pulverizer through the opening.

Grinding Method and System with Material Inlet Detection
A method for grinding feed material (1) in the form of particulate bulk material is disclosed. In the process, particle sizes of the feed material (1) are detected, and the feed material (1) is ground in a mill (3) on the basis of at least one manipulated variable. The at least one manipulated variable is modified when the proportion of small particle sizes in the detected particle sizes increases. A system for grinding feed material (1) in the form of particulate bulk material is also disclosed.
Apparatus and Method for Grinding Particulate Material
A vertical roller mill comprising a grinding table and a grinding roller having a rotational axis, each having a grinding surface and arranged to define a grinding zone between the grinding surfaces grinds particulate material. A feeder feeds the particulate material to the vertical roller mill, with the grinding roller is-arranged to roll around a grinding path on said grinding table. The feeder receives a supply of the particulate material and directs that material to flow to the grinding zone of the vertical roller mill. The feeder can constrain the flow of material to a defined cross-section by applying a momentum to and/or pushing, or to compact the flow of material prior to directing the material, or combinations thereof. In particular, the disclosure is applicable to grinding particulate materials like mining ores, industrial minerals and chemicals, sand, slag, ash, clay, pigments for coatings, pharmaceuticals and cement raw materials.
