MODIFIED FLOTATION TEST WITH IN-SITU RESERVOIR CONDITIONS
20190381517 · 2019-12-19 ·

Measurement of in-situ petroleum reservoir wettability at the current salinity and at different salinities and water compositions. That data may be used to derive the crude oil acid and base equilibrium constants for the oil-surface adhesion reaction that control wettability. These constants may be used in quantitative models of the reservoir wettability. This procedure produces an accurate description of reservoir wettability and identifies the specific water chemistry that will optimize in-situ wettability and, in turn, oil production.

METHOD

The present invention relates to a method for removing hydrocarbons from produced water, comprising: (i) separating produced water from a hydrocarbon and water mixture extracted from a subterranean formation: (ii) contacting said produced water with multivalent metal cations to produce a mixture of produced water and multivalent metal cations; and (iii) removing hydrocarbons from said mixture in a hydrocyclone and/or a compact flotation unit to give treated produced water, wherein the concentration of hydrocarbons in said produced water is less than 10% wt.

Mining collectors

A family of amine mining collectors that uses alkoxylates allows for the easy adjustment of solubility and molecular weight useful because anionic and cationic mineral collectors require such varying degrees of solubility and molecular weight. The family of the present invention allows for the optimization of both parameters and an increase in collector efficiency.

CATIONIC POLYMER SELECTIVE DEPRESSANTS AND USE THEREOF IN MINERAL ORE PURIFICATION METHODS
20190217311 · 2019-07-18 ·

The present embodiments generally relate to a technology for improving Cu/Mo grade by the addition of cationic polymers as selective depressants for acid insoluble matters, e.g., silicates and/or clays, in the flotation circuit. Various types of cationic polymers are demonstrated to be effective depressants including polyamine, polyDADMAC, and cationic polyacrylamide. Also disclosed are processes for enriching a desired mineral from an ore comprising the desired mineral and gangue, wherein the process comprises carrying out a flotation process in the presence of one or more cationic polymer depressants.

The present invention also provides a system for in-line measurement of superficial gas velocity in flotation cells.

ULTRAFINE BUBBLE CLEANING METHOD USING ULTRAFINE BUBBLE-CONTAINING LIQUID, APPARATUS THEREFOR, AND DISSOLVED AIR FLOATATION APPARATUS
20190060913 · 2019-02-28 · ·

An ultrafine bubble cleaning apparatus uses a liquid containing ultrafine bubbles having a size of less than 30 nm to rinse fine particles adhered to soil, sand, etc. to separate and collect the fine particles. The ultrafine bubble cleaning apparatus includes a water tank-shaped reservoir, a stirring device, a supernatant discharge device including a pump for discharging a supernatant of the liquid in the reservoir, and a sedimentation extraction device. Substances are loaded into the ultrafine bubble-containing liquid stored in the reservoir, and the ultrafine bubble-containing liquid is repeatedly brought into contact with the surface of the substance using the stirring device. When ultrafine bubbles get into a space between fine metal particles adhered to the surfaces, cracks, and pits of the substances to be cleaned (including metal ions) and fine particles of organic substances including a solvent, a chemical, and oil, the fine particles are separated and floated.

MODULAR FLUID-DOSING SYSTEM AND ITS PROCESSES

A modular fluid-dosing system includes at least one hosting structure, a logic module and several dosing modules set up to add one or more fluids in one or more dosing points during a process, where an exact amount of a substance is necessary, using a manifold system. One of the dosing modules may be a dedicated module, specifically designed to add one reagent within one dosing point. Additionally, one of the dosing modules may be a multiplexor module, which permits the adding of the same fluid along several dosing points in a sequential manner. This is a flexible system that can have different configurations, combining dedicated and multiplexor modules that are required according to the needs of the process. Dosing modules are installed on support devices that permit reconfiguring the system structure according to the needs of the dosing process without affecting the internal design of the distribution system.
