Impact centrifugal separator and associated methods for fraction collection in supercritical fluid systems
A separator (e.g. an impact centrifugal separator) is for use in collection of liquid portions of a bi-phasic flowstream in a supercritical fluid system. A separator chamber defines an interior space, surrounded by a spiral channel and that has an exit at a lower portion of the separator chamber. A flowstream director (e.g. an entry lube) focuses the flowstream so that the flowstream impacts a wail of the spiral channel at an angle that promotes coalescence of the liquid component. The spiral channel may promote further coalescence of the liquid portions within the constraining spiral channel after impact. A central director may be included in the interior space of the separator chamber to promote flow of the gaseous component toward the exit. A dripper may be included in fluid communication with the spiral channel, for example, in the exit and to direct the coalesced liquid into a collection vessel.

OIL SEPARATOR, VENTILATION SYSTEM FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, AND INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE COMPRISING SUCH AN OIL SEPARATOR
An oil separator for separating oil mist and/or oil droplets out of gases to be cleaned is described. A ventilation system that has the oil separator that may be used with an internal combustion engine is also described.
Centrifuge seals and sealing arrangements and centrifuges containing the same
A seal for a centrifuge for preventing material from leaking out of an effluent portion into a drive portion where the seal is disposed between a basket carrier and a drive portion, and the basket carrier is disposed between the effluent portion and the drive portion. The seal can also be disposed on a stiffener, the stiffener disposed between the basket carrier and the drive portion. A sealing arrangement for a centrifuge including a contact seal and a labyrinth disc, for preventing liquid from leaking out of an effluent portion into a product discharge outlet and for preventing material from entering into the effluent portion through the product discharge outlet. Also provided is a centrifuge incorporating the seal and/or the sealing arrangement.

SOLID BOWL SCREW CENTRIFUGE
A solid bowl screw centrifuge has a rotatable drum, a screw arranged in the drum and rotatable relative to the rotatable drum with a differential speed, one or more drum bearings for bearing the drum, a sealing assembly arranged between a drum shaft portion and the housing for protecting at least one of the drum bearings from an ingress of constituents of a suspension. Each sealing assembly includes at least two radial shaft sealing rings arranged with a mutual axial spacing so as to form at least one chamber. Respective radial shaft sealing rings are arranged such that their respective sealing lips are directed away from the respective chamber. A gas source having a gas pressure can impinge on the respective chamber.
Compact reverse flow centrifuge system
Provided is a chamber configuration for a reverse flow centrifuge, and a reverse flow centrifuge system configured for low fluid volume and small radius rotation. The compact reverse flow centrifuge system has a reusable subsystem and a single use replaceable subsystem. The replaceable subsystem comprises a separation chamber, fluid delivery manifold and rotational mounting connecting the separation chamber to the fluid manifold. The single use replaceable subsystem provides a closed environment for execution of reverse flow centrifugation processes. The separation chamber has a substantially conical fluid enclosure portion connected to a neck portion, and a dip tube extends centrally through the conical fluid enclosure to provide a fluid path to the tip of the conical fluid enclosure.

SEPARATOR
A separator for the centrifugal processing of a free-flowing product includes a rotatable drum with a vertical rotation axis. The rotatable drum has a centrifuging chamber and a maximum radial diameter. An annular cover is placed onto an upper end of the drum and is configured as a part that does not rotate with the drum during operation. At least one sealing arrangement with two sealing rings is arranged between the drum and the annular cover. A leakage chamber having an outlet is formed between the two sealing rings of the at least one sealing arrangement. A splash ring, which is fastened to the drum for rotation therewith, is arranged in the leakage chamber.
Mechanical seal device
A mechanical seal device for a centrifugal separator includes a first seal ring including a first seal surface and a second seal ring including a second seal surface. The first and second seal surfaces are configured to face each other to form a seal, and at least one channel for a cooling fluid is arranged in the first seal ring. The at least one channel includes an inlet and an outlet. The outlet of the at least one channel is arranged at the first seal surface of the first seal ring. A centrifugal separator includes the mechanical seal device.
