Method and system for producing gluten-free oats
A method and system for removing foreign grains from oat grains to establish gluten-free oats, i.e., oat grains having gluten levels below 20 ppm and, more preferably, below 10 ppm, relies upon performing a series of mechanical differentiation operations on a combination of grains, including oats and foreign, or gluten containing, grains. The various operations include aspiration, width grading and length grading steps, as well as a late stage density separating step. The resulting oats can be used to make a wide range of gluten-free oat food products, including cereal and granola products.

Textile substrate of multiple different disposable and/or recyclable materials, use of such a textile substrate and method for processing such a textile substrate
A textile substrate (1A) includes a warp and a weft and containing several different disposable and/or usable materials. A first subset of the totality of all warp threads and weft threads contains one or more warp threads (K1(1), K2(1), K3(1)) and one or more weft threads (S1(1)), wherein each warp thread of the first subset and each weft thread of the first subset is made of a first of the different disposable materials. A second subset of the totality of all warp threads (K1(2), K2(2), K3(2)) and weft threads contains one or more warp threads and/or one or more weft threads, wherein each warp thread of the second subset and each weft thread of the second subset is made of a second of the different disposable materials. A third subset of the totality of all warp threads and weft threads contains one or more warp threads and/or one or more weft threads (S1(3)), wherein each warp thread of the third subset and each weft thread of the third subset is made of a material (Z) that can be destroyed by means of a chemical and/or physical method. The warp threads and weft threads of the first and second subsets (K1 (I), K2(1), K3(1), K1(2), K2(2), K3(2)) are arranged in such a way that said warp threads and weft threads are not bound to one another and thus can be separated if the respective warp threads and/or weft threads (S1(3)) of the third subset are destroyed.
Gold panning assembly
A gold panning assembly for vibrationally separating gold from dirt includes a pan that may receive a mixture of the dirt and the gold. A vibration unit is coupled to the pan. The vibration unit vibrates the pan such that the vibration unit urges the gold to separate from the dirt thereby facilitating the gold to be removed from the dirt.
Product sorter
A product sorting apparatus is operable to sort products by inducing an oscillating or rocking motion to a plurality of sorting trays in a vertically stacked arrangement. A subset of the products in a top-most tray selectively pass to successive sorting trays. Each of the sorting trays is configured to receive and selectively transmit the selected products according to a separator or sorting panel that is disposed between an input and an output of a given tray. Each of the separator panels defines apertures that facilitate sorting of the products according to size and/or shape. The rocking or oscillating motion has an amplitude and a period according to an input from a drive mechanism, which may include a motor and drive link with a controller and/or a power switch. Optionally, a safety cage and one or more cutoff switches are provided for protecting the sorter and personnel.
Device and method for processing materials
Apparatus and method for processing materials such as granular matter mined from deposits, comprising a tubular container disposed upright and an axle device provided centered therein. A processing chamber for receiving the material to be processed is provided between the axle device and the inner wall of the tubular container. The tubular container is driven rotatingly. Engaging dogs are provided in the processing chamber as working elements.
Sieving apparatus and sieving method
A sieving apparatus includes first and second sieving portions. The first sieving portion includes a sieve with a plurality of elongated holes or slits for separation of an object to be sieved based on difference in cross-sectional diameter. The second sieving portion with a sieve constituted by a porous plate includes round holes for separation of the object that has passed through the elongated holes or slits based on difference in aspect ratio. The second sieving portion is employed after sieving by the first sieving portion. A diameter of the round holes in the porous plate constituting the sieve included in the second sieving portion is longer than an opening width in a shorter direction of the elongated hole or the slit of the sieve included in the first sieving portion.
Waste receptacle having false bottom
A receptacle is disclosed for containing waste. The waste receptacle may include a container having a side surface connected to, surrounding, and extending normal to a lower surface. The waste receptacle may also include a false bottom disposed inside the container and having a rigid plate-like body, and a flexible liner connected to a perimeter of the rigid plate-like body. The flexible liner may extend toward an opening of the container. The waste receptacle may further include at least one support configured to support the false bottom a distance away from the lower surface of the container.
OBTAINING BIOGENIC MATERIAL FROM A STREAM OF HETEROGENEOUS MATERIALS
Obtaining biogenic material from a stream of heterogeneous materials is disclosed, including: receiving an input stream of heterogeneous material; separating a sub-stream of at least biogenic material from the input stream of heterogeneous material using a screen; removing a set of non-biogenic material from the sub-stream of at least biogenic material based at least in part on density separation; and drying the sub-stream of at least biogenic material after removal of the set of non-biogenic material, wherein the sub-stream of at least biogenic material after removal of the set of non-biogenic material comprises biogenic material that is suitable to produce biochar.
