REVERSIBLE CUTTING TOOL
The present disclosure provides a reversible cutting tool to cut a material such as sheet metal on a press brake. The reversible cutting tool is further comprised of a handle portion to grip and move the cutting tool, wheels to allow the cutting tool to slide along the press brake, a blade portion to cut the material, and an adjustable cutting mechanism. The adjustable cutting mechanism allows the reversible cutting tool to pivot and cut the material in two different directions, and also allows the cutting tool to be set in a third storage position. In a preferred embodiment, the adjustable cutting mechanism is comprised of a channel on an underside of the cutting portion, the channel configured to receive a plunger, the plunger to slide between two opposed cutting positions and a storage position.
Hydraulic tool
An example shearing head includes a first member and a second member being rotatable about a pin. The first member has a shearing surface forming a substantially right angle with a first lateral surface of the first member. The second member has a shearing surface forming a substantially right angle with a second lateral surface of the second member. The second member includes a first distal surface and a second distal surface forming a substantially right angle. The first distal surface and the second distal surface are substantially perpendicular to the second lateral surface. The second member includes a third lateral surface opposing the second lateral surface and a retainer is attached to the second member. A first surface of the retainer contacts the first distal surface, a second surface of the retainer contacts the second distal surface, and the third lateral surface contacts a third surface of the retainer.
CUTTING METHOD AND CUT ARTICLE
There is provided a cutting method for cutting a workpiece using a cutting tool comprising a die and a punch, including: arranging the workpiece between the die and the punch, and in a state in which a wedge-shaped first cutting part of the die and a wedge-shaped second cutting part of the punch are opposed, pushing the punch relatively to the die side to cut the workpiece; wherein: a front end angle 1 of the first cutting part and a front end angle 2 of the second cutting part are each 10 or more and 120 or less, and a front end radius R.sub.1 of the first cutting part and a front end radius R.sub.2 of the second cutting part are each 0.5% or more and 35.0% or less of a sheet thickness.
Cutting tool
An underwater tool (5; 205; 305) including a grabber arrangement (15; 215; 315) and a cutter arrangement (20; 220; 320) connected together. The grabber arrangement comprises a plurality of grabber elements (30; 230; 330) disposed on first and second sides (35a; 235a; 335a; 35b; 235b; 335b) of the tool. The cutter arrangement includes a cutter slot (75; 275; 375), an anvil (80; 280; 380) movable to close the slot comprises an anvil and a cutter blade (90; 290; 390). In use, a cable (10; 210; 310) is held by the grabber arrangement, and thereby moved into the slot which is then closed by the anvil so as to entrap the cable within the slot. The cutter blade is then driven against the anvil so as to cut the cable.
INDEXABLE PIERCING TIP FOR DEMOLITION SHEARS
An indexable piercing tip mounts to a nose portion of one of the jaws of a heavy-duty demolition shears so as to enclose and protect top, bottom, front, and two opposing side surfaces of the nose portion during use of the shears. The piercing tip has a first operative position in which a first set of piercing and shearing edges of the piercing tip are presented for use. When the first set gets dull or worn, the piercing tip can be rotated/indexed 180 degrees so as to present a second set of piercing and shearing edges of the piercing tip for use.
ERGONOMIC TOOL FOR REPEATABLE TASKS
A tool includes a base; a guide member supported by the base, the guide member defining a longitudinal axis; an actuator coupled to guide member; a coupling rod supported by the guide member and functionally coupled to the actuator, wherein the coupling rod is operable to linearly translate responsive to input from the actuator, and wherein the coupling rod includes an attachment mounting surface; a spring supported by the guide member and contacting the coupling rod, wherein the spring is configured to bias the coupling rod toward a first position and configured to resiliently deform responsive to the actuator providing input to the coupling rod; and an attachment removably coupled to the attachment mounting surface of the coupling rod, wherein the attachment linearly translates in response to linear translation of the coupling rod.
Auxiliary support device for rolling-cut shear
An auxiliary support device for a rolling-cut shear, including: a lower cutting table; a plurality of first hydraulic support cylinders, a plurality of support plates, a plurality of second hydraulic support cylinders shorter than the first hydraulic support cylinders, a slide plate, and a plurality of horizontal hydraulic cylinders. The lower cutting table includes a first front end including a first mounting groove, and a second mounting groove, and an inner plate. The bottom wall of the second mounting groove includes a plurality of first bolt holes and a plurality of first recesses. The inner plate is embedded in the second mounting groove through a plurality of bolts passing through the plurality of first bolt holes. The inner plate includes a plurality of second bolt holes and a plurality of second recesses. The plurality of support plates lean against the inner plate.
Slitter
A slitter according to an embodiment of the present art includes: an upper knife disposed above the electrode plate to rotate, thereby cutting the electrode plate; and a lower knife disposed below the electrode plate to partially overlap the upper knife and rotate, thereby cutting the electrode plate together with the upper knife, wherein the upper knife includes: a first inner surface extending to be inclined from a tip formed at the lowermost end to the lower knife; and an outer circumferential surface extending to be inclined from the tip to an opposite side of the lower knife, wherein the first inner surface has an inclination at a first angle from a vertical line V that is perpendicular to a rotation axis that serves as a rotation center of the upper knife, and the outer circumferential surface has an inclination at a second angle from the vertical line.
