HOLE SAW
A hole saw includes a base member configured to secure the hole saw to a drive device and a blade member extending orthogonally from each side of the base member. Each blade member is configured having respective distal ends that flex transversely to a longitudinal cutting direction of the blade member. Responsive to rotational movement of the hole saw via the drive device against a structure, a medial location of each blade member creates an initial respective linear cutting path into the structure, and further movement of the respective blade members into the structure cause the distal ends of the respective blade members to flex transversely to the cutting direction and follow the initial linear cutting path despite the rotational movement of the hole saw relative to the structure to produce a linear cut through the structure.
Reciprocating tool
A reciprocating tool includes a motor, a reciprocating member, and a crank mechanism. The motor is disposed in a housing. The reciprocating member projects from the housing. The crank mechanism converts rotation of a rotation shaft of the motor into reciprocation of the reciprocating member. The crank mechanism rotates around an axis in a lateral direction by rotation transmission from the rotation shaft, and the crank mechanism includes a crank member having an eccentric pin, a connecting rod coupling the eccentric pin to the reciprocating member, and a balancer coupled to the eccentric pin, and the balancer is supported by the eccentric pin alone in the housing.
Square hole saw
A tool that cuts a hole for a single or double electric gang switch box. By having four blades, all cutting at the same time and in the shape of the switch box, a more accurate and appropriately placed hole may be provided. The hole saw may be configured with two centering drills so the tool is guided into the cut. An eccentric drive mechanism converts a rotary drive into reciprocating movement of perpendicularly opposed pairs of blades to cut a rectangular opening.
RECIPROCATING SAW ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure is directed to a reciprocating saw assembly including a saw unit. The saw unit includes a reciprocating mechanism having a reciprocating spindle to which a saw blade is attachable, a drive unit for providing torque to the reciprocating mechanism, causing the spindle to reciprocate, and an outer housing in which the drive is received. The outer housing includes a handle portion graspable by a user during a cutting operation. The reciprocating saw assembly further includes a clamping unit having a clamp housing pivotably coupled to the outer housing and a jaw movable relative to the clamp housing between a clamping position, in which the clamping unit is affixed to a workpiece to be cut, and a release position, in which the clamping unit is removable from the workpiece.
Method and apparatus for preparing ceramic body segments
A method including providing a ceramic log (300) with a first end and an opposing second end; providing one or more cutting devices (100) comprised of a dual bladed cutting member (200); and removing material by cutting at least the first end with the dual bladed cutting member (200), wherein a first blade (210) of the dual bladed cutting member (200) provides a finished surface and a second blade (220) removes a percentage of scrap above the finished surface. An apparatus (100) for cutting a ceramic log (300).
REMOVING BLADE CUFF BUSHINGS
A tool for removing a bushing from a workpiece includes a tool body, a first reference, and a second reference for positioning the tool body on a workpiece. A saw slot is defined through the tool body to provide access to the workpiece for a saw blade. A saw guide is proximate the saw slot, the saw guide arranged to position a saw blade in a cutting plane spaced apart from the workpiece for removing a segment of a bushing fixed to the workpiece relative to the first and second references.
Outdoor power tool
A cutting tool has a housing. A blade bar projects forwards from the housing along a longitudinal axis. An electric drive motor drives the blade bar. At least one battery supplies the drive motor with electrical energy. The blade bar, the drive motor and the battery are mounted on the housing. The cutting tool has a top handle arranged above a center of gravity of the hedge trimmer, and a rear handle arranged behind the hedge-trimmer center of gravity. The battery is arranged on the housing at least mainly in front of the rear handle.
WHEELED OSCILLATING BLADE DEVICE
A wheeled oscillating blade device for pushing an oscillating blade on wheels to facilitate removing materials from the ground surface includes a housing. A pair of wheels is rotatably coupled to the housing to facilitate pushing and pulling the housing on a ground surface. A motor is positioned within the housing, and a shaft extends out from the motor. The motor rotates the shaft in an oscillating motion when the motor is turned on. A blade mount is positioned within the bottom opening and is in mechanical communication with the shaft, wherein the shaft oscillates the blade mount when the motor is turned on. A blade is mounted to the blade mount, wherein the blade oscillates when the motor is turned on. The oscillating motion of the blade facilitates removing materials from the ground surface.
CONVERTING BETWEEN ROTARY AND LINEAR MOTION, AND A SAWING DEVICE
Apparatus for converting rotary motion to linear motion and/or linear motion to rotary motion, comprising: a rotatable piece (24) having a surface, the piece being rotatable about an axis thereof; at least one member (26a-d) having a linking surface (44a-d) facing the surface of the rotatable piece and arranged for restricted movement at least in part laterally relative to the axis of the piece; and located between the surface of the rotatable piece and the or each reciprocating member, means for linking the linking surface of the respective member and the surface of the rotatable piece, wherein the means for linking (30a-d), the surface of the rotatable piece and the linking surface are configured to cooperate so that rotational motion of the rotatable piece causes linear movement of the at least one member, and/or linear movement of the at least one member causes rotational motion of the rotatable piece. A sawing device may include said apparatus, the sawing device being for cutting by repetitive reciprocating cutting action of at least one blade on a surface of an object to be cut. A saw blade (10a-d) may be configured for such a sawing device.
Hole saw
A hole saw includes a base member configured to secure the hole saw to a drive device, and a set of blade members extending from the base member. Each of the blade members is attached to the base member at a fixed position, and each of the blade members includes a sawing portion having cutting teeth. The sawing portion has a medial portion connected to the base member where the sawing portion has oppositely extending, freestanding distal ends.
