WELDING DEVICE
A welding device according to some embodiments includes a rotary table fixing two irregular shaped plates which are overlapped, a torch unit including a welding torch positioned to face outer peripheral edges of the two irregular shaped plates fixed to the rotary table, a torch actuator configured to move the welding torch toward and away from the outer peripheral edges, an after-shielding part mounted to the welding torch on downstream side in a rotational direction of the rotary table and having nozzles arranged along the rotational direction, configured to jet shielding gas to the outer peripheral edges, and including a first nozzle positioned upstream and a second nozzle positioned downstream of the first nozzle in the rotational direction, and a controller configured to control an orientation of the nozzle in a direction of decreasing a shielding-gas-jetting distance between the second nozzle and the outer peripheral edges welded by the welding torch.
Configuring signal devices in thermal processing systems
In some aspects, material processing head can include a body; an antenna disposed within the body; a first tag, associated with a first consumable component, disposed within a flux communication zone of the body at a first distance from the antenna, the first tag having a first resonant frequency; and a second tag, associated with a second consumable component, disposed within the flux communication zone of the body at a second distance from the antenna, the second tag having a second resonant frequency that is different than the first resonant frequency, where the first and second resonant frequencies are tuned based upon at least one of: i) a difference between the first distance and the second distance; or ii) a characteristic (e.g., shape) of the flux communication zone in which the first tag and/or the second tag is disposed.

Method of making pen body resin rods
A novel method for making decorative structures, specifically for use as writing instruments composed of a novel material composition that scatters and reflects light to exhibit a particular visual effect, i.e. a glitter effect. The composition is made of one or a combination of a number of different resins combined with a mica dust and/or a diamond dust. The resin is an organic compound and in composed partially or entirely from epoxide, polyester and/or polyurethane. Other additives can be added to the resin to enhance the visual effect including ground glass and dyes or pigments.
Welding Gas Sensor
A system comprising a welding machine having a control box; a welding gun electrically connected to the control box; a gas cylinder; a first gas line extending from the gas cylinder to the control box; a second gas line extending from the control box to the welding gun; a wire feed device that feeds wire to the welding gun; and a sensor. The sensor is configured to monitor the amount of gas in the gas supply. When the sensor senses that the amount of gas has reached or gone below a threshold level, it shuts off the wire feed device.

Method of manufacturing metal containers
A method of manufacturing a container includes positioning metals plates against one another to define an interior space, filling the interior space with a granular refractory material and welding the seams between the plates to form a fluid tight container.
Device and method for autogenous processes
In order to improve an enveloping gas device for transporting at least one enveloping gas that is allocated to at least one burner head or at least one nozzle of a device for working or processing at least one component or workpiece by autogenous processes, so that a reduction of the contaminant concentration, particularly the concentration of nitrogen oxides (NO.sub.X) and other harmful compounds is achieved, it is suggested, a flame issuing from the burner head or nozzle and directed towards the component or workpiece is completely enclosed by the enveloping gas, and the concentration of contaminants contained in the waste gas from the device, particularly the concentration of nitrogen oxides (NO.sub.X), is reduced by the enveloping gas. The present invention further relates to a corresponding method associated with the enveloping gas device for working or processing at least one component or workpiece with autogenous processes.
Welding or cutting tool
A welding or cutting tool for welding or cutting electrically conductive workpieces includes a nozzle arranged on a tool tip for discharging a welding or cutting beam and a nozzle cap which at least partly surrounds the nozzle, is open towards the tool tip, and has an electrode that forms a capacitance with the respective workpiece and an insulating element that electrically insulates the electrode from the other components of the tool. The electrode consists of a first electrically conductive ceramic material and is formed integrally with the insulating element, which consists of a second electrically insulating ceramic material.
Nuclear waste storage canisters and method of fabricating the same
A dry storage systems for radioactive nuclear waste materials may include a double-walled canister system. The canister system may include a canister having a tubular inner shell defining an internal cavity for storing nuclear waste material, a first lid sealably welded to a first end of the inner shell, a primary base plate defining a peripheral edge portion and having an annular closure flange, and an annular full thickness butt weld formed at an abutment joint between the annular closure flange and a second end of the inner shell. The inner shell, first lid, and first end closure may collectively define a sealed primary pressure retention barrier. A tubular outer shell may adjoin the inner shell. The outer shell may be welded to the canister to form a hermetically sealed secondary pressure retention barrier.
