Thick film heaters

The invention relates to a combination of an electrical heating element and a heat dissipater to be heated thereby; the heating element comprises a substrate, an insulating layer located on the substrate and a thick film conductor located on the insulating layer, wherein the second side of the metallic substrate is in contact with the heat dissipater, comprising a layer of metallic material on its face towards the heater and wherein the substrate is brazed to the heat dissipater and the surface of the heating element over which the thick film conductor extends, is substantially equal to the surface of the heat dissipater. The brazing leads to a permanent contact between the heating element and the heat dissipater, so that the possible tendency for warping as caused by the heating and cooling cycles will be withstood.

A liquid-cooled-type cooling device includes a casing having a top wall, a bottom wall, and a cooling-liquid passage, and a radiating member disposed in the cooling-liquid passage. The radiating member has a substrate and a plurality of pin-shaped fins. Longitudinally intermediate portions of the pin-shaped fins are brazed to the substrate. The substrate has a plurality of fin insertion holes, and the pin-shaped fins are inserted into the fin insertion holes of the substrate. A plurality of convex portions are integrally formed on the longitudinally intermediate portion of each pin-shaped fin. The substrate and the pin-shaped fins are provisionally fixed together by plastically deforming the convex portions such that they are crushed. In this state, the substrate and the pin-shaped fins are brazed together. The upper and lower end portions of the pin-shaped fins are brazed to the top wall and bottom wall, respectively, of the casing.

Scaffolding clip and applicator

A scaffolding clip and a scaffolding clip applicator tool are provided for fastening a web, such as a retaining mesh, to a scaffolding pole. During use a preferred method includes holding the fastening clip with the applicator, locating the web between the pole and the fastening clip, piercing the web with opposed ends of the clip and disengaging the applicator from the clip. In order to subsequently remove the clip from the pole a loop of the clip is engaged by a catch of the applicator and levered from the pole with a heel of the applicator that extends from opposite the catch and acts as a fulcrum.

Feed assembly for a riveting machine and a method of operation of the same
09839956 · 2017-12-12 · ·

A feed assembly for a foot-pedal operated riveter and a method of using the same is disclosed. The feed assembly includes a rivet stop that has a tip that separates a lowermost fastener from a second from lowermost fastener when the riveter is in a non-operational position. This rivet stop prevents fasteners from sliding down a raceway on the feed assembly. When the riveter is moved into an operational position, the rivet stop moves out of the way and permits the second from lowermost fastener to slide into position for subsequent installation. The rivet stop thus enables automatic reloading of the riveter during operation.

Cable tray support

A cable tray support includes first and second rod openings each extending through one of first and second sides of a support body to allow first and second support rods to laterally enter the respective first and second openings. First and second lateral closure members are adjacent the respective first and second openings and are movable to closed positions to inhibit the respective first and second support rods, when received in the corresponding opening, from laterally exiting the corresponding opening.
