Rotational metering pump for insulin patch

A rotary pump for a fluid metering system is provided. The rotary pump reciprocates, and is reversed by a signal from a limit switch that is deflected by an actuator arm on a rotating sleeve of the pump system. The rotary pump includes a plunger and optional stopper formed from a two-shot molding process, and including seals overmolded onto the head of the plunger and the head of the optional stopper.

Gas turbine rotor component and method of manufacture

A turbine rotor disk and a method of making the turbine rotor disk using solid state bonding techniques are disclosed. The turbine rotor disk includes a radially inner portion comprising a wrought nickel alloy having a yield strength of at least 126 ksi at 1,000° F. The turbine rotor disk also includes a radially outer portion bonded to the radially inner portion, said radially outer portion comprising a cast nickel alloy configured as a single crystal or with a grain size of ASTM 2 or larger.

Pumping fluid delivery systems and methods using force application assembly

A method of dispensing a therapeutic fluid from a line includes providing an inlet line connectable to an upstream fluid source. The inlet line is in downstream fluid communication with a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber has a pump outlet. The method also includes actuating a force application assembly so as to restrict retrograde flow of fluid through the inlet while pressurizing the pumping chamber to urge flow through the pump outlet. A corresponding system employs the method.

A tool holding section opposite the first section with a bore formed in the tool holding section adapted for receiving the shank of the tool. A plurality of stress rods positioned around the bore and comprising a thermal rate of expansion less than a thermal rate of expansion of the tool holding section. The plurality of stress rods form corresponding bulges on the surface of the bore to decrease the inner diameter of the bore to mechanically lock the shank of the tool in the bore.

Systems and methods for manufacturing a stack trim

A system may be configured to manufacture a layered cage of a trim. Some embodiments may additively manufacture, in each of a plurality of layers, a plurality of channels each having a cross section such that an amount of the layers satisfies a criterion, the cross section being defined by vertical walls, angular portions that extend from the walls, and a shaped top and/or bottom intersecting with angular portions. And the channels of one of the layers may not intersect with any other channel of any other layer of the cage.

Localized milled golf club face

A wood-style golf club head includes a strike face and a body that cooperate to define a hollow internal club head volume. The strike face formed from a strike plate having an outer perimeter and a frame surrounding the strike plate. The strike plate is affixed to the frame across the entire outer perimeter. The strike plate and frame define a continuous ball striking surface that has a surface texture characteristic of milling that extends continuously across both the strike plate and the frame.
