A sealing strip holder for manipulating and transporting a sealing strip preform in an at least partially automated production process, the sealing strip preform preferably having limp properties. To make the manufacturing process faster and less expensive the sealing strip holder comprises at least one clamping jaw which interlockingly and/or frictionally engages at least one surface portion of the sealing strip preform.

Clamping device

A clamping device configured to automatically pull and clamp workpieces includes a clamping module and a driving module. The clamping module includes a sliding block, two clamping members positioned at two sides of the sliding block, and a connecting plate connected to one end of the sliding block. The driving module includes a driving member. The sliding block defines at least one pair of guiding grooves, and a distance between the paired guiding grooves is increased in a direction toward the connecting plate. The two clamping members are mounted on the guiding grooves of the sliding block in a sliding way. The connecting plate is fixedly connected to the driving member. When the connecting plate and the sliding plate are driven by the driving member, the two clamping members move toward or away from each other to clamp or release the workpiece.

Furthermore, the workpiece positioning device comprises a pivoting device for transferring the workpiece palette from a horizontal position into a vertical position, and vice versa. The pivoting device comprises a horizontal and a vertical linear axle and a gripping device and is disposed to grip a workpiece palette on another, second edge and to pivot, by simultaneously moving the horizontal and the vertical linear axles, the workpiece palette around the pivot bearing on a circular path.

Carriage adjustment mechanisms are provided at at least two corners of the carriage for calibrating the orientation of the build platform with respect to the X-Y plane. An extrusion assembly adjustment mechanism is provided at at least one end of the extrusion mechanism for calibrating the orientation of the extrusion mechanism with respect to the Y-axis. Methods for handling tubulars useful during cleaning and inspection operations

Methods are disclosed for handling cylindrical tubulars in a process that, in preferred embodiments, also performs cleaning, inspection and other operations on the tubular. The tubular is held stationary while it is rotated. During rotation of the tubular, internal and external cleaning systems, and data acquisition systems, pass up and down the length of the rotating tubular. In preferred embodiments, a first tubular is loaded onto the handling machine, whereupon it is indexed and then rotated. Cleaning, inspection and other operations may be performed during rotation. Once operations are complete, the handling system ejects the first tubular while queuing up a second tubular to be loaded.

The load lifting device includes a primary plate, a lifting attachment that receives a hook of an overhead suspender, and a clamping system that can clamp a load onto the lifting device between two jaws. The clamping system can have a coarse adjustment and a fine adjustment. The coarse adjustment selectively connects a jaw to the primary plate at a plurality of discrete connection points, and the fine adjustment mechanism selectively moves a contact point of the first jaw toward a first end portion of the load. A method for lifting a load includes positioning the load lifting device horizontally above a load, clamping the load with a clamping system, and imparting a vertical force on an end portion of the load lifting device to rotate it from horizontal to vertical.
