Lobster catching device
A lobster catching device includes an elongated hollow shaft having a control mechanism connected to the first end, and a grasping assembly connected to the second end. The control mechanism includes a handle and trigger that move a wire within the shaft. The wire transitions a pair of arms extending outward from the grasping assembly between an open and closed position, and a trigger lock secures the assembly in the current position when engaged. The arms are constructed from a malleable material which bends when a maximum pressure is applied onto the lobster to prevent crushing the animal. A blocking panel is connected to the main body of the grasping assembly and includes a planar member that is oriented parallel to the arms. The blocking panel engages the tail of a lobster when the arms are grabbing the carapace.

Collapsible bait net
The present invention is a hoop net comprised of netting mounted to two or more semicircular tubular rods, forming a ring that maintains its shape and structural integrity. The two semicircular tubular rods are fashioned to connect seamlessly by a fastening means that allows the entire assembly to function as intended. The hoop net assembly includes four stabilizing cords positioned equidistant from each other along the ring, which cords converge at the center of the hoop net assembly and are connected to each other by a fastening means, then further connected to a single draw cord. The draw cord is used to cast the assembled hoop net into water to a desired depth and pulled back into the boat with live bait. Once the hoop net assembly has been used, the metal rods are easily disconnected to facilitate folding the hoop net in half for easy storage and portability.

SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AND RESEARCHING WELL-BEING OF LIFEFORMS USING TEXT ANALYTICS, AND TEACHING TOOL
The invention builds on the previous inventions of one of the inventors herein and includes a group of habitats connected to online databases and programs, where data from the habitats is used to update the databases and programs about the best conditions for the creatures, plants, and possibly other lifeforms inside the habitats. The invention also includes systems for helping students and others to learn, by examining the actions and well-being of the lifeforms inside a habitat, and writing research notes about those lifeforms. The invention also includes methods and systems by which research notes about a certain species, from many students or other observers, can be examined with text analysis tools, which will locate words or phrases that are common, and other information, within the research notes. This will help to discover the optimal ranges for measured parameters like temperature and Ph for the species inside the container.
FLOATING PLATFORMS FOR SAMPLING FISH SURVEY IN TIDAL CHANNELS AT HIGH AND LOW TIDES AND QUANTITATIVE ASSESSMENT METHOD
A floating platform for sampling fish survey in tidal channels at high and low tides, includes a floating platform frame and a survey sampling net, the survey sampling net includes an opening welded by galvanized tubes. The present application can comprehensively collect aquatic organisms and nutrients in the tidal channels at high tide and low tide by setting up a floating platform to put down the corresponding fishing nets for collection at high tide and low tide respectively, and read the flow meter data for calculating the tidal flow, which can make up for the insufficiency of the relevant data collection in the existing research at high tide, and realize accurate monitoring and quantitative assessment of the tidal channels organisms and material transport, and can comprehensively understand the species, quantity and distribution of the tidal channels organisms and their differences in high and low tide.

SUN CORAL NEUTRALIZATION AND COLLECTING APPARATUS AND METHOD
Sun coral may be neutralized and collected using a sun coral neutralization and collecting system (1) of claim 1 by installing and attaching the sun coral neutralization and collecting system (1) proximate to a subsea structure; using the positioner (150) to move the sun coral neutralizer (100) along a surface of the subsea structure from a starting position along the subsea structure; neutralizing sun coral present proximate the surface of the subsea structure by energizing the heater (130) and using thermal energy supplied by the heater (130); and collecting neutralized sun coral using the collector to store the collected neutralized sun coral.

Dual Line Cast Net Retrieval Device
A dual line cast net retrieval device has a cast net body having a central horn connected to net webbing and a hand line having multiple couplers along its length, each coupler having a line passageway adapted to receive a horn line therethrough. A swivel connector having a hollow cylindrical rod is disposed at a distal end of the hand line, the swivel connector having an outer ring coupler pivotally engaged around it. The ouster ring coupler having opposing linkage arms connected to a plurality of braille lines, which extend through the central horn and attach to a weighted lead line. The horn line is fixed at its distal end to the central retention aperture. When the horn line is pulled, it exerts an uplifting force on the horn and net webbing to relieve tension in the braille lines when the net is snagged.
