Apparatus configured to provide both wet and dry blasting and method for operating such an apparatus
An apparatus for blasting having a distribution block for receiving a blasting medium, a pressure medium and/or a fluid/liquid medium, said distribution block having an outlet connectable with at least one distributing tube.
Method for treating a surface of a fibre composite component
A method for treating a surface of a fibre composite component, wherein an abrasive removal of the surface of the fibre composite component takes place by blasting a removing agent transported by a gaseous transporting fluid onto the surface of the fibre composite component by a feed nozzle and a suction extraction of the removing agent and material removed by the removing agent takes place by an extraction nozzle arranged in the region of the feed nozzle.
SHOT PROCESSING SYSTEM AND SHOT PROCESSING METHOD
A shot processing system according to an aspect includes a shot processing apparatus to project shot media, a measurement device output a signal waveform related to a wave generated due to collision of the shot media, a control device to control the shot processing apparatus. The control device includes a processing condition acquisition unit to acquire a required intensity, a control unit to control the shot processing apparatus to cause the shot processing apparatus to perform the shot processing to the measurement device under a first shot condition, an intensity analysis unit to acquire a measured intensity by analyzing the signal waveform output by the shot processing to the measurement device, and a correction unit to correct a shot condition of the shot processing apparatus from the first shot condition to a second shot condition to reduce a difference between the required intensity and the measured intensity.
Abrading device
An abrading device includes a funnel and an outlet orifice disposed within the funnel for passage of abrasive material, where a distance between the outlet orifice and a bottom end of the funnel is adjustable. An exhaust tube is coupled to the funnel for withdrawal of spent abrasive material from the funnel.

Method of Operating a Blasting System
In a method of operating a blasting system, method parameters are predefined by an operator and a required blasting medium throughput is calculated and set from these process parameters.

A DEAD MAN CONTROL ARRANGEMENT
A nozzle arrangement for use in expelling pressurized fluid includes a dead man control. The dead man control has a manually operable control part movable between a non-operating position, which prevents operation of the nozzle arrangement, and an operating position, and biased towards the non-operating position. The manually operable control part is pivotably coupled relative to a nozzle holder of the nozzle arrangement, which extends away from the pivotal coupling substantially towards a distal end of a nozzle part of the nozzle arrangement. The manually operable control part includes a handle part which in the operating position is substantially against and aligned with the nozzle part.
Wet abrasive blast machine with remote control rinse cycle
An improved wet abrasive blast machine with remote control rinse cycle enables a pilot operating the apparatus to control remote switching between blast and rinse cycles directly, for example from a nozzle of a blast hose or from a panel. A first and second hydraulic circuit and a pneumatic circuit are controllable via communication with a control circuit which is operable remotely to direct a configurable pilot signal between various valve states. In a preferred embodiment, the control circuit is powered pneumatically via a branch circuit fed from the pneumatic circuit. Switching between to configurations is effected by directing an air pilot signal between airflows interior to a series of valves. In an alternate embodiment switching airflows between configurations is effected electrically.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DRILLING CERAMIC
A method of machining includes mounting a component in a drilling machine. The component has a target region where the hole is to be drilled. The component and a jet head are situated relative to each other in a drilling arrangement in which the target region is at a first position that is vertically equal to or vertically above a second position at which the jet head is located. A liquid stream is jetted from the jet head and contains either abrasive particles or a laser beam. The stream impinges the target region, and the abrasive particles or the laser beam cause removal of material from the component to form the hole. The liquid stream rebounds off of the component as back-splash. The drilling arrangement causes gravitational draining of the back-splash from the target region to reduce interference between the back-splash and the liquid stream.
