The imaging device may include an imaging unit for capturing the image, a first recording unit for recording information relating to the image, the information being associated with the image, and a first transmission control unit for controlling transmission of the image to the image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus may include a reception control unit for controlling reception of the image transmitted from the imaging device, a feature extracting unit for extracting a feature of the received image, a second recording unit for recording the feature, extracted from the image, the feature being associated with the image, and a second transmission control unit for controlling transmission of the feature to the imaging device.
Image capture device with contemporaneous image correction mechanism
A hand-held or otherwise portable or spatial or temporal performance-based image capture device includes one or more lenses, an aperture and a main sensor for capturing an original main image. A secondary sensor and optical system are for capturing a reference image that has temporal and spatial overlap with the original image. The device performs an image processing method including capturing the main image with the main sensor and the reference image with the secondary sensor, and utilizing information from the reference image to enhance the main image. The main and secondary sensors are contained together within a housing.
Systems And Methods For Analyzing Body Fluids
Systems and methods analyzing body fluids contain cells including blood, bone marrow, urine, vaginal tissue, epithelial tissue, tumors, semen, and spittle are disclosed. The systems and methods utilize an improved technique for applying a monolayer of cells to a slide and generating a substantially uniform distribution of cells on the slide. Additionally aspects of the invention also relate to systems and method for utilizing multi-color microscopy for improving the quality of images captured by a light receiving device.
SERVICE MANAGEMENT USING USER EXPERIENCE METRICS
A method, system, and computer usable program product to determine a first mood of the user, where the first mood is based on a characteristic of the user at a first time during the providing of an online service and to determine a second mood of the user, where the second mood is based on a characteristic of the user at a second time during the providing of the online service. The first mood of the user and the second mood of the user are compared to determine a delta or change in mood of the user.
OBJECT RECOGNITION DEVICE
In an object recognition device, a reliability setting unit sets object presence reliability indicating the reliability of whether or not an object is present with respect to the surrounding area of a host vehicle. Then, a grouping unit groups the reflection points based on the object presence reliability in the area between the reflection points. For this reason, for example, even though two objects are adjacent to each other, in a case where the object presence reliability in the area between the reflection points of one object and the reflection points of the other object is low, the reflection points of the two objects can be separately grouped without being grouped into a single group. As a result, since it is possible to avoid mistakenly recognizing a plurality of objects in a single object, recognition accuracy of the object can be improved.
Tile Image Based Scanning for Head Position for Eye and Gaze Tracking
An eye tracking method comprising: capturing image data by an image sensor; determining a region of interest as a subarea or disconnected subareas of said sensor which is to be read out from said sensor to perform an eye tracking based on the read out image data; wherein said determining said region of interest comprises: a) initially reading out only a part of the area of said sensor; b) searching the image data of said initially read out part for one or more features representing the eye position and/or the head position of a subject to be tracked; c) if said search for one or more features has been successful, determining the region of interest based on the location of the successfully searched one or more features, and d) if said search for one or more features has not been successful, reading out a further part of said sensor to perform a search for one or more features representing the eye position and/or the head position based on said further part.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IDENTIFYING INPUT FEATURES FOR LATER RECOGNITION
Disclosed are method and apparatus to recognize actors during normal system operation. The method includes defining actor input such as hand gestures, executing and detecting input, and identifying salient features of the actor therein. A model is defined from salient features, and a data set of salient features and/or model are retained, and may be used to identify actors for other inputs. A command such as “unlock” may be executed in response to actor input. Parameters may be applied to further define where, when, how, etc. actor input is executed, such as defining a region for a gesture. The apparatus includes a processor and sensor, the processor defining actor input, identifying salient features, defining a model therefrom, and retaining a data set. A display may also be used to show actor input, a defined region, relevant information, and/or an environment. A stylus or other non-human actor may be used.
EXTRACTING APERIODIC COMPONENTS FROM A TIME-SERIES WAVE DATA SET
A method is described for extracting aperiodic components from a time-series wave data set for diagnosis purposes. The method may include collecting time-series wave data within a controlled environment were a plurality of contrasting conditions can be used in collecting the time-series wave data set. Aperiodic components can be extracted from the time-series wave data set and the aperiodic components can then be fitted to the plurality of contrasting conditions of the controlled environment to product regressed aperiodic components from which diagnostic determination can be made.
INFORMATION PROCESSING UNIT, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An information processing unit includes: a diagnostic image input section that inputs the diagnostic image; an operation information obtaining section that obtains display operation history information representing an operation history of a user who controls displaying of the diagnostic image; a query image generation section that extracts a predetermined region of the input diagnostic image to generate a query image; a diagnosed image obtaining section that supplies the generated query image and the display operation history information to a diagnosed image search unit and obtains the diagnosed image obtained as a search result by the diagnosed image search unit; and a display control section that displays the diagnostic image and the obtained diagnosed image for comparison.
SURVEILLANCE CAMERA SYSTEM AND SURVEILLANCE CAMERA CONTROL APPARATUS
A surveillance system includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire motion information of an object detected from an image captured by an image capturing unit, an association unit configured to associate a recognition processing result of the object with the motion information, and a determination unit configured to determine, from among a plurality of objects detected from the image captured by the image capturing unit, an object to be subjected to recognition processing based on the recognition result associated with the motion information. Thus, even when a plurality of abnormal regions is simultaneously present in a region to be monitored, face recognition can be efficiently performed.
