A method of forming a package is provided and includes providing two laminate edge portions of the package, each of which includes a foil layer between first and second resin layers; and welding together the respective first resin layers at a first position spaced apart from the edges while not welding the respective first resin layers at the edges, wherein the edge portions include edges from which electrode terminals extend such that portions of the electrode terminals are exposed beyond the edges, and wherein the edge portions are between a sealing portion and exposed portions of positive and negative electrode terminals.

The invention relates to a battery cell (2), comprising a prismatically designed cell housing (3) with a cover surface (31), on which a negative terminal (11) and a positive terminal (12) are arranged, and at least one electrode coil (10) which is arranged inside the cell housing (3) and comprises a cathode (14) having cathode contact lugs (24) and an anode (16) having anode contact lugs (26). The cathode contact lugs (24) and the anode contact lugs (26) extend next to one another from the electrode coil (10) toward exactly one end face (35, 36) of the cell housing (3), the end face (35, 36) running at a right angle to the cover surface (31). The invention also relates to a battery system comprising at least one battery cell (2) according to the invention.

Battery wiring module

A battery wiring module that can ensure an insulation distance between an electrode of a secondary battery and a conductive part arranged above the cover portion. A housing includes first and second divided housings that respectively include a bus bar housing portion that houses a bus bar, a first cover portion that is provided in one piece with the first divided housing and covers an opening of the bus bar housing portion of the first divided housing, and a second cover portion that is provided in one piece with the second divided housing and covers an opening of the bus bar housing portion of the second divided housing, the first and second cover portions being adjacent to each other. The first cover portion is provided with a tongue piece that extends from the first cover portion toward the second cover portion and overlaps the second cover portion in the opening direction of the bus bar housing portion.

A region of a hole-inner circumferential surface composing a portion defining a terminal through-hole, the region being located on the battery case cover side, include a tapered surface gradually enlarged in diameter as extending toward the battery case cover side and opening toward the battery case cover side; when riveting is carried out, a region of a shaft portion, the region being located inward of the tapered surface, is enlarged in diameter so as to form an annular projecting portion in contact with the tapered surface; and a hole circumferential portion located around the portion defining the terminal through-hole is held between the external enlarged-diameter portion and the annular projecting portion so as to fix a first terminal member to a second terminal member.

In a stacked battery according to one aspect of the present disclosure, a first current collecting case includes: a first facing portion facing the electrode body in the stacking direction of the electrode body; and positive-electrode wall portions that extend from edge portions of the first facing portion so as to cover first side portions of the electrode body, and whose inner surfaces are electrically connected to edge sides of positive-electrode protruding portions. In the stacking direction of the electrode body, a second current collecting case includes: a second facing portion facing the electrode body in the stacking direction of the electrode body; and negative-electrode wall portions that extend from edge portions of the second facing portion so as to cover second side portions of the electrode body, and whose inner surfaces are electrically connected to edge sides of negative-electrode protruding portions.

Power storage device

A power storage device includes a case accommodating an electrode assembly and having a lid, a current interrupting device, and an insulating member. The electrode assembly has a tab-side end face opposed to an inner face of the lid. The current interrupting device has a device end face opposed to the tab-side end face. The insulating member has an insulating end face opposed to the tab-side end face. A distance from the inner face to the device end face in a state where the current interrupting device is positioned closest to the inner face is defined as a first dimension. A distance from the inner face to the insulating end face in a state where the insulating member is positioned closest to the inner face is defined as a second dimension. The first dimension is smaller than the second dimension.

A battery system comprises a plurality of substantially planar layers extending over transverse areas. The plurality of layers comprises at least one cathode layer, at least one anode layer, and at least one separator layer therebetween.
