An example trimming tool includes a floating base having a first side and an opposite, second side, a first rail, and a second rail. At least the second side of the floating base, the first rail and the second rail define a workspace having a first opening and a second opening. The trimming tool also includes a milling apparatus, attached to the floating base, having a base on the first side of the floating base and a milling head on the second side of the floating base. The milling head is spring loaded. The floating base and milling apparatus are configured to remove at least a portion of a foam layer in the workspace.

Method of Forming Patterned Abrasive Substrate

Abrasive articles and associated methods are shown that include abrasive particles arranged in one or more symbols on a backing substrate. Examples include shaped abrasive particles arranged into one or more symbols. Other examples include one or more wear particles with a height less than other abrasive particles, such that when exposed, the wear particles indicate a wear condition of the abrasive article.

ABRASIVE CONDITIONER AND A METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME

An abrasive conditioner includes a substrate having a plurality of protrusions on a side thereof, the protrusions being separated from one another by a plurality of depressions, and a plurality of abrasive particles respectively attached to the protrusions on a one-to-one correspondence basis via a bonding layer, wherein the bonding layer extends into the depressions. Embodiments disclosed herein also include a method of fabricating an abrasive conditioner.

MACHINING APPARATUS

A machining apparatus includes: a rotating shaft rotatably supported by a housing; a rotary tool detachably attached to the rotating shaft; an attachment; and a bracket. The rotary tool includes a front end surface facing in a first direction lying along an axial direction of the rotating shaft, and a rear end surface facing in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The attachment is detachably connected to the front end surface of the rotary tool. The bracket rotatably supports the attachment in a state of being supported by the housing.

Abrasive article

The invention relates to an abrasive article 1 for abrading at least one workpiece, the abrasive article with: a carrier body 2, at least one abrasive layer 3 with a main surface and a predefined thickness, the at least one abrasive layer being arranged on the carrier body, at least two visual indicators 6 with a cross-section in the main surface of the abrasive layer, wherein the size, shape and/or location of the cross-section of the visual indicators in the main surface of the abrasive layer depends on the thickness of the abrasive layer at more than one location of the visual indicators.
