Screw driver and head therefor
A screw head adapter, including a surrounding shaped envelope, being hex, square, etc., being adaptable to a standard key, ring, box wrench, including at its center, a bit, a flat-blade screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, hex, Allen wrench, having an adjustable or constant height, for connecting thereof to a standard key, box wrench, dedicated key, etc., adapted thereto and supported by a dedicated protrusion, being fastened to the box wrench by a mechanical, magnetic, etc. attaching means, for allowing, due to its short height, to easily open or close screw heads in narrow hidden regions, and to those having difficult or non-available access by other tools.
Driver shaft support assemblies, setup assemblies, and cutting assemblies
Driver support assemblies to work in concert with a setup assembly are provided. Setup assemblies to work in concert with a driver support assembly and a cutting assembly are provided. Cutting assemblies configured to work in concert with a driver support assembly are provided. Driver tip cutting assemblies are provided. Methods for cutting the tip of a driver shaft are provided.
SCREWDRIVER FOR THREADED PLUG AND TIGHTENING DEVICE
A screwdriver device for a threaded plug includes a structure which extends along an axis and includes a head and a shank connected to a first end of the head, wherein the head has a second end which opens onto a cavity suitable for containing a head of a plug, wherein along the axis the cavity includes at least a first portion having a lateral surface which has a first profile and at least a second portion having a lateral surface which has a second profile which is not coincident with the first profile.
Selectively adjustable torque indicating tool
A selectively adjustable torque indicating tool is provided for rotating a mechanical fastener to a predetermined torque setting. The tool includes a pair of supports and a tool bit positioned between the pair of supports and engageable with a mechanical fastener such that when the tool bit, a rotational force is imparted on the mechanical fastener. A spring is coupled to the pair of supports, and operatively coupled to the tool bit. The spring includes a first end portion movable relative to the pair of supports between a neutral position and a torqued position in response to the rotational force being imparted on the mechanical fastener by the tool bit. An adjuster is coupled to the spring to adjust a stiffness of the spring such that movement of the first end portion of the spring from the neutral position to the torqued position corresponds to a predefined rotational force.
Twist-drivable pin assembly
A twist-drivable pin assembly includes first and second drivers, each having a driving end which can be received in a bore in the end of a twist-drivable pin, and an opposite end at which torque can be applied. The cross-sectional shape of each of the drivers at its driving end has a first plurality of apexes whose relative locations coincide with the apexes of a regular polygon such as a hexagon. The drivers differ from one another in their cross-sectional shapes at the driving end by virtue of one or more faces of at least one of the drivers between adjacent pairs of apexes having a groove formed in it. Each of first and second twist-drivable pins has a bore extending into it which is defined by a second plurality of apexes arranged as a regular polygon such as a hexagon and which is open at one end.
Screwdriver
A screwdriver includes a main body and a switch. The main body is coupled to a handle and includes a pair of parallel, spaced apart slots, and a pawl positioned in each slot. Each pawl is biased outwardly by a spring. The switch is pivotable relative to the main body, and the switch includes a groove extending along an arcuate portion of an inner surface. Pivoting the switch in a first direction moves the switch toward a first position in which the groove is positioned in-line with the first pawl. When the switch is in the first position, the first pawl extends outwardly from the slot and engages the internal tooth surface such that application of a torque in a first direction drives a shank in the first direction and application of a torque in the second direction causes the shank to ratchet relative to the main body.

STICK FIT FASTENER RECESS SYSTEM
Various embodiments described herein provide a fastener system having straight walled driving surfaces that provides a reliable stick fit feature, while also improving stability of engagement between the system components. A feature of the new system is to allow stick fit engagement of existing standard straight walled drivers in the new system.
Grip bar for hexagonal wrench
A grip bar for a hexagonal wrench includes a grip, a middle sleeve, an outer sleeve and a rotary member. The grip has an elongate body, a raised portion, multiple first recesses, a head, an elongate slot and a first threaded portion. The middle sleeve includes a first chamber, a first opening, a shoulder and an end hole. The outer sleeve is mounted to the middle sleeve. The rotary member is rotatably inserted in the end hole of the middle sleeve. The first and second threaded portion are connected to each other. The first recesses and the elongate slot respectively accommodate the first section and the second section of a hexagonal wrench. The grip and the rotary member respectively restricted by the shoulder and cannot slip within the middle sleeve so that the hexagonal wrench is firmly combined with the grip and operated efficiently.
Composite coating on a contact face of a tool
A composite coating is provided for a tool. The tool can be a pair of scissors or a screwdriver for example. The tool is made with at least one contact face. The composite coating includes diamond grains and layer of metal oxide. The metal oxide is used as an adhesive to secure the diamond grains to the contact face.
