Bi-directional screwdriver

The present disclosure is a bi-directional screwdriver, which includes a handle, a main shaft, a gearing which includes a driving gear, a driven gear, a transmission seat and an idle gear which is mounted on the idle gear axle on the transmission seat and is fitted between the driving gear and the driven gear for transferring motion. The handle rotates the driving gear. A grip ring is securely provided outside the idle gear axle. When the grip ring is gripped and the handle is rotated to rotate the driving gear, the driving gear rotates the driven gear in a reverse direction through the idle gear. The driving gear also has a first inside ratchet surface, and the driven gear also has a second inside ratchet surface. And the present invention also includes a reversing means which includes a reversing member, a first pawl member and a second pawl member, and a direction switch, in which the driving gear, the driven gear and the transmission seat are all sleeved on the reversing member, the reversing member is sleeved on the main shaft and able to rotate the main shaft.

Oil filter wrench

An oil filter wrench having a base, a main gear, a plurality of claws each having a gear portion and an arm configured to engage an oil filter. The gear portions are rotatably disposed within the base and configured to engage the main gear such that when the main gear rotates; the arms correspondingly extend or contract relative to the base. The oil filter wrench also includes a main spring. The main spring is disposed within a cavity defined by the main gear. The main spring is configured to selectively bias the main gear toward rotation in either a first direction or a second direction opposite to the first direction. The oil filter wrench is characterised in that it also includes a switching mechanism a switching mechanism. The switching mechanism is configured to selectively toggle between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the switching mechanism engages a first tine of the main spring such that the main gear is biased to rotate in the first direction. In the second position, the switching mechanism engages a second tine of the main spring such that the main gear is biased to rotate in the second direction. The switching mechanism is toggled between the first and second positions by respectively engaging a first pin or a second pin that is integrated into one of the plurality of claws.

Ratcheting driver
11260505 · 2022-03-01 · ·

A ratcheting driver comprises a driving mechanism combined between a handle and a working end for translating rotary motion from the handle to the working end. A switch engages the driving mechanism to switch the rotational direction of the working end between clockwise rotation and counter-clockwise rotation with an optional locked position that locks the working end. Two pairs of cooperating pawls are provided that are selectively engaged by the switch with one pawl in each of the two pairs of cooperating pawls selectively engaging one of a first ratchet gear and a second ratchet gear. Each pawl in the pair of cooperating pawls are positioned axially apart from each other in alignment with one of the first ratchet gear and the second ratchet gear.

A handheld guide for advancing and installing a decking fastener with an elongate track with a rail and an advancement member. The advancement member carries a pivoting pawl with an engagement surface for advancing fasteners forward through the track to an installation position with a frontmost fastener aligned with a screw guide for driving a screw through the frontmost fastener. The rail has a ramp transitioning to a cliff and a lower ledge such that the frontmost fastener is maintained forward of the cliff above the ledge in the installation position. The pawl pivots to disengage from the fasteners when the advancement member moves rearwardly along the track.
