20170326715 · 2017-11-16 ·

A drive blade lubrication assembly for use in a powered fastener driver (10). The powered fastener driver (10) contains a drive blade (42) which snap-fits with a reciprocating piston (58) by a blade seal (103) assembly. The drive blade lubrication assembly contains a lubricant applying member adapted to apply lubricant to a portion of the drive blade (42); and a lubricant storing device which is in fluid communication with the lubricant applying member. The lubricating storing device is adapted to replenish the lubricant in the lubricant applying member. A powered fastener driver (10) containing a drive blade lubrication assembly is also described. The use of the lubricant storing device in the present invention ensures that lubricant is continuously supplied to the drive blade (42) after long time usage of the powered fastener driver (10), so that friction between the drive blade and the blade seal assembly is minimized

A fastener driving tool includes a nose portion, a supply passage and a fastener supply mechanism. The nose portion includes an injection passage for injecting a fastener. The supply passage is connected to the injection passage. The fastener supply mechanism feeds connected fasteners to the injection passage. The fastener supply mechanism includes a feed member which advances and retreats in a feed direction and which oscillates in a direction to retreat from the supply passage. The feed member includes a feed tooth which feeds the fastener to the injecting passage by engaging with a rear portion of the fastener and an auxiliary tooth which is disposed on a foot side of the fastener to prevent the fastener from deviating from the injection passage. When the feed tooth of the feed member projects into the supply passage, the auxiliary tooth projects into the supply passage longer than the feed tooth.

Nailers with jamming-alleviating mechanisms

A fastener tool includes a motor, a drive mechanism connected to the motor and adapted to drive a piston, and a cylinder filled with high-pressure gas. The piston is accommodated in the cylinder and suitable for a reciprocating motion within the cylinder. The drive mechanism includes a blade fixed to the piston and a gear coupled to the motor. The gear contains a plurality of teeth adapted to engage with a plurality of lugs on the blade such that a rotation of the gear is transformed to a linear movement of the blade. The drive mechanism further includes a disengagement module which, within a period of a rotation cycle of the gear, is configured to prevent one of the plurality of teeth from unintentionally engaging with a misaligned one of the lugs.

Hybrid cordless cap tool

A construction tool and method for use for administering a fastener and an associated cap to secure fabrics, paper, sheets, and/or panels to a substrate is provided. The tool can be a hybrid tool that utilizes a) energy stored in a spring, the energy harvested upon engagement of the tool with a surface, to move a cap and/or a fastener to an advancement station, and b) energy stored in a power source, such as a battery, to advance the fastener through the cap and apply the fastener/cap combination to a substrate. The hybrid tool can utilize both energy harvested from mechanical motion and energy stored in an onboard power source to function. A related method of using the tool is provided.

Pneumatic nailer comprising a manually actuatable trigger and a contact feeler
09782879 · 2017-10-10 · ·

A pneumatic nailer includes a working piston connected to a driving plunger for driving in a fastening means and which is subjected to compressed air when a driving-in process is triggered. The nailer also includes a triggering device which has a manually actuatable trigger and a contact feeler. Actuating the trigger and the contact feeler together activates a first control valve and can trigger a driving-in process. A second control valve is activated when actuating the trigger independently of an actuation of the contact feeler. A chamber is provided, which is either aerated or deaerated via a throttle when the second control valve is activated. A locking piston is provided which is displaced from a resting position into a locked position when the pressure in the chamber passes a predetermined pressure threshold and which in the locked position prevents a driving-in process from being triggered.

Fastener-driving tool including a reversion trigger
