The invention relates to a novel method for producing fish bait, in which fish are dehydrated and then impregnated. In a first step, fresh dead fish bodies are attached and suspended on a horizontal carrier in the longitudinal direction and then frozen in a deep freezer. In a second step, the frozen fish bodies are impregnated in deep-frozen acetone and dewatered. In a third step, the acetone is brought to room temperature in order to defat the fish bodies. In a forth step, the fish bodies are impregnated in a vacuum chamber, the acetone being replaced by a suitable impregnating means for a plurality of days under a vacuum. And in a fifth step, the fish bodies impregnated with the impregnating means are hardened at room temperature.

Adaptable fishing lure kits, systems, and devices are provided. An adaptable fishing lure system may include a fishing lure body, a replaceably attachable lure body member to the fishing lure body, via a slot formed within an outer periphery surface of the lure body, and a channel chamber longitudinally extending through and within at least a portion of a length of the fishing lure body. The slot providing access to the channel, at least one cartridge providing an attractant into the chamber formed within the fishing lure body. Alternative use of an adhesive and means for securing a fin member and attractant are provided.

Adaptable fishing lure kits, systems, and devices are provided. An adaptable fishing lure system may include a fishing lure body, a replaceably attachable lure body member to the fishing lure body, via a slot formed within an outer periphery surface of the lure body, and a channel chamber longitudinally extending through and within at least a portion of a length of the fishing lure body. The slot providing access to the channel, at least one cartridge providing an attractant into the chamber formed within the fishing lure body. Alternative use of an adhesive and means for securing a fin member and attractant are provided.

A fishing lure for avoiding snags and attracting a target fish includes a shell that defines an interior space. The shell, which is fish shaped, is water tight so that the shell is buoyant. The shell is configured to float above objects that are positioned on a bed of a body of water. A ring that is coupled to and extends from a tail end of the shell is configured to couple the shell to a leader. A hook that is coupled to and extends from a mouth end of the shell is configured to couple to a bait and to hook a target fish.

Generally, the invention disclosed herein relates to articles for catching and capturing fish. Embodiments of this invention may be used as baits to attract fish and entice them to take a hook. Optionally, the hook may be embedded inor otherwise attached tothe bait. Examples of this invention may be designed to resemble the appearance of naturally occurring fish species and may exhibit realistic or exaggerated movement when traveling through water. Some embodiments comprise tail portions designed to flutter by simultaneously moving along two axes of rotation. Fluttering may comprise lateralside-to-sidemotion along a vertical axis extending from the tail neck and rotational displacement along a horizontal axis extending from the center of the tail portion.
