Automatic sampling system and method

An automatic sampling system (100) and an automated sampling method take samples of a rubber strip after shaping and while scrolling in a predetermined direction.

Slitting apparatus and method for producing separator roll

A wrinkle caused in a separator roll is inhibited. A slitting apparatus (6) changes a conveying direction of a first separator (12a) by a direction changing roller (68) toward a first take-up roller (70U), and conveys the first separator via an assisting roller (69) which is provided between a take-up position of the first separator to be wound and the direction changing roller so as to shorten a conveying distance between the take-up position and a roller immediately before the take-up position.

Tube slitter with off-axis hinge
10795085 · 2020-10-06 · ·

A tube jacket slitting tool including first and second opposite tool portions, each tool portion including a common hinged portion at a first end for engaging the opposite tool portion. The first and second opposite tool portions are foldable about the hinged portion between an open position and a closed position. The tool includes at least one concave surface extending across the width of forming an opening, when the first and second opposite tool portions are in the closed position, through which a tube may be slid. The tool includes a blade extending inward into the opening for slitting a depth of the tube jacket as it is moved with respect to the tool. The tool includes a hinge pivot axis in the hinged portion extending in a direction substantially in the direction of the width and at an acute angle to either the plane or to the longitudinal axis of the tube or cable in the opening formed by the at least one concave surface. When the first and second opposite tool portions are folded to the closed position with the tube or cable in the opening, movement of the tube or cable with respect to the tool causes the first and second opposite tool portions to be urged toward each other.

Crayon carving device

Devices, kits, and methods for making a carved crayon are provided. In one aspect, a crayon carving device includes a base, a pantograph armature coupled to the base, a crayon positioner, and at least one guide template parallel to the crayon positioner. The kit may further include a wrapper removal mechanism configured to remove a wrapper from a crayon, such that the crayon carving device may be used on an exposed crayon surface.

Methods, materials, and equipment to form improved fit duct liner insulation for round and oval HVAC duct systems

The embodiments described herein relate generally to improved fit duct liner insulation for curvilinear ducts in HVAC, exhaust, or other similar gas flow systems. A duct liner insulation for a curvilinear duct may include an insulation board having a first major surface and a second major surface. The duct liner insulation further includes a plurality of rows of kerfs in the first major surface of the insulation board configured to allow the insulation board to flex in a direction of the width of the insulation board such that insulation board is foldable into a curvilinear configuration. Each of the kerfs has a v-shaped cross section with sidewalls extending from a kerf base portion at or near the second major surface of the insulation board to the first major surface of the insulation board. The sidewalls extending at an angle from 10 degrees to 20 degrees relative to each other.

Cut sheet and method for reducing cuts

Provided is a cut sheet having sufficient water resistance and having fewer sharp protrusions in the end face despite including a large amount of inorganic particles and a method of reducing cuts. The cut sheet is formed of a resin composition including inorganic particles of 50% by mass or larger relative to the total mass of the composition and a thermoplastic resin. The cut sheet has a water absorption rate of 10% or lower measured in accordance with JIS K-7209. The actual occupancy rate of the exposed area of the inorganic particles is lower by at least 2% than the theoretical occupancy rate of the area of the inorganic particles in at least one end face.

Cutting machine

A cutting machine for cutting a foam product from a foam blank. The cutting machine has a blank holder adapted to receive the foam blank and a cutting blade. At least one of the blank holder and the cutting blade is mounted for movement relative to the other. The blank holder has a first component having a die projection formed on a front surface of the first component. A second component has a cutting surface and an aperture. A third component has a cutting surface and is locatable in the aperture. At least one of the first component and the second component is mounted for movement relative to the other between a first configuration, in which the first and second components are distal to one another, and a second configuration, in which the first and second components are proximal to one another.

Multilayered sheet assembly and a method for forming a sign

A multilayered sheet assembly includes a carrier layer on which a sign layer is arranged on a first side via a first adhesive layer. The sheet assembly further includes a strip layer which is arranged via a second adhesive layer in adhesively separable manner on a second side of the carrier layer. A further includes arranging the multilayered sheet assembly on a cutting device, arranging a peripheral cut in the sheet assembly along an outer periphery of a sign, arranging an inner cut in the sheet assembly along a peripheral line of at least one enclosed surface area not forming part of the sign, separating the strip layer with adhesive retention of the at least one enclosed surface area not forming part of the sign, and separating the sign layer from the carrier layer.
