Auger
An auger includes a body with a first end, a second end opposite the first end, a stem that extends from the first end to the second end and defines an axis of rotation, and a flute helically wrapped around the stem. The auger further includes a shank at the first end of the body configured to be received by a power tool and a cutting head at the second end of the body. The cutting head includes a cutting edge, a spur, and a feed screw with a thread. The thread has a pitch and a nonsymmetrical thread profile. The pitch of the thread is at least 2.5 mm.
Auger bit with carbide tip
An auger bit for cutting holes. The auger bit includes a body made of a first material. The body has a first end, a second end configured to be coupled to a power tool, a flute, and a longitudinal axis extending centrally through the body. The auger bit also includes a cutting tip made of a second material different from the first material. The cutting tip is coupled to the first end of the body. The cutting tip includes a first shoulder having a first spur, a first main cutting edge, and a first side cutting edge. The cutting tip also includes a second shoulder opposite the first shoulder and having a second spur, a second main cutting edge, and a second side cutting edge. The cutting tip further includes a center spur positioned between the first shoulder and the second shoulder and on the longitudinal axis.

WOODTURNING TOOL
A tool, system, and method for shaping a wooden workpiece. The system includes a lathe, a toolrest, and a woodturning tool for removing material from the workpiece. The tool includes a handle with a shaft extending longitudinally outwardly therefrom. A cutter is provided on an end of the shaft. The shaft includes a longitudinally-extending bottom surface and a longitudinally-extending side surface. The side surface extends laterally outwardly from the bottom surface and at an obtuse angle relative thereto. Two contact points provided on one of the bottom and side surfaces are brought into contact with the toolrest on the lathe to steady the shaft and use the cutter on the workpiece. The orientation of the cutter is changed between a first position and second position depending on which of the bottom surface or side surface contacts the toolrest.

Cutting tool
A cutting tool including a body, a blade, a feed shaft, and a locking member. The body defines an axis and is adapted to be received by a spindle of a power tool. The blade is removably supportable on the body and rotatable about the axis for cutting a workpiece. A feed shaft is removably supportable in the body and rotatable about the axis for engaging a workpiece, the feed shaft being mountable in the cutting tool to engage and at least partially restrain the blade. The feed shaft further includes an opening transverse to the axis. The locking member is engageable with the body and with the opening in the feed shaft. Advancement of the locking member into the opening tightens both the blade and the feed shaft to the body.

Unknown
The invention relates to a drilling tool (50), in particular a dowel hole drill, for the machining of workpieces, in particular workpieces made of wood, plastics, composite materials, comprising a drill shaft (56) with a front surface (60), and to a drill head (58) with at least one cutting edge (66), which is firmly connected, such as soldered, to the drill shaft (56). In order to make available a drilling tool of the type mentioned at the start, which has a broad range of application and is simple to produce, it is provided that the drill head (58) is formed from a composite material with exclusively two layers (38), namely a hard metal layer (36) and an ultra-hard layer (38) which is connected to the hard metal layer (36) and preferably formed from polycrystalline diamond or polycrystalline boron nitride, that the ultra-hard layer (38) is connected directly to the front surface (60) of the drill shaft (56) and that the at least one cutting edge (66) is formed by the ultra-hard layer (38), and a drill bit (62) such as a centering tip is formed by the hard metal layer (36).
SELF-FEED DRILL BIT
A drill bit includes a shank defining a longitudinal axis and a cutting edge extending radially outward relative to the longitudinal axis. The cutting edge is configured to remove material from a workpiece along a cutting path during a cutting operation. The drill bit further includes a plurality of scoring elements positioned within the cutting path and configured to contact the workpiece before the cutting edge during the cutting operation.
