AUTOMATIC PALLET ASSEMBLY SYSTEM AND METHOD

A system and method for assembling a pallet with at least two rows of blocks nailed to a board element. Nailing the rows of blocks to the board element includes supplying a first set of at least two blocks at respective supply points, such that the blocks are aligned with one another forming a row, and placing the board element in contact with the blocks, nailing the board element to the blocks located at the respective supply points, moving the assembly of board element and blocks previously nailed to a new nailing position and supplying a second set of at least two blocks at said respective supply points, and nailing together the board element in the new nailing position and the second set of at least two blocks located at the respective supply points.

Board positioning system and method

Automated assembly of a pallet includes advancement of a subject board from a source location to a queue position. The subject board is moved from the queue position to a fastening position by a positioner. Advancement of the subject board occurs while the positioner is in motion between the queue position and the fastening position.

Apparatus for producing wooden members for wooden trusses includes a control computer receiving a batch list, a series of infeed chutes for automatically transferring wooden members of different types to a conveyor, a scanner to detect defects, a defect saw for trimming such defects, a finger-jointer for joining wooden members end-to-end, a flying saw for cutting wood discharged from the finger jointer, a cutting saw for cutting wooden members processed by the first flying saw into web member blanks, and a component saw for cutting angles on the ends of the web member blanks. The control computer analyzes the batch list for causing a first infeed chute to feed in wooden members of a first type sufficient to produce all web members formed from wood of the first type, and then causes a second infeed chute to feed in wooden members of a second type. A related method is also disclosed.

Engineered timber products, components and methodologies

A method of drying sticks, a related apparatus, resultant product and its uses where the method involves presenting a plurality of sticks in parallel as a single layer, pressing each stick with a bank of pressing members on and/or into at least one face of the sticks, each with plurality of protuberances, thereby to constrain the sticks against crook, and drying the sticks when so constrained. Preferably each bank of pressing members is an underside of a frame or lattice of a stack of such frames or lattices able to receive such a single layer of sticks between adjacent overlying/underlying frames or lattices, the protuberances preferably being only downwardly directed.

The present invention relates to a method for shaping a frame structure using a multilayer board to solve the technical problem of low production efficiency of the existing bamboo frame structure. The present invention has the first solution of bending a multilayer board into a profiled board using the board bending technology; cutting the profiled board into several framing units; and finally connecting end portions of one, two or plural framing units one another, thereby forming a frame structure. The present invention has the second solution of gluing and stacking a plurality of single boards and laminating them into a profiled board; cutting the profiled board into several framing units; and finally connecting end portions of one, two or plural framing units one another, thereby forming a frame structure.

PALLET ASSEMBLY SYSTEM

A fastener delivery system for transporting and dispensing fasteners comprises a source of pressurized air, a dispenser configured for dispensing each of the fasteners into a workpiece, a first pathway providing a first passageway for the fasteners to pass through, and a second pathway providing a second passageway for the fasteners to pass through. Each of the first pathway and the second pathway is placed in selective fluid communication with the source of pressurized air to blow one of the fasteners disposed in the first pathway or the second pathway towards the dispenser. The dispenser includes a toggle feature for alternatingly receiving the fasteners from each of the first pathway and the second pathway. Each of the pathways includes an air brake mechanism for decelerating each of the fasteners as each of the fasteners approaches the dispenser.
