Method of joining a nogging to a stud to form a sub-module of a prefabricated building module and use of such method
The invention refers to a method of joining a nogging to a stud to form a sub-module of a prefabricated building module. The method comprises the acts of: providing (1000) a stud (2) and orienting the stud with a longitudinal extension of the stud along a first direction (A); providing (2000) a nogging material having a longitudinal extension being greater than an intended length of the nogging, and orienting the nogging material with a longitudinal extension along a second direction (B) being transverse to the first direction (A); moving (3000) a first free end of the nogging material into abutment with a first side surface of the stud (2) and cutting the nogging material to form a first nogging (3a); fixating (5000) and joining the free end of the nogging (3a) with the stud (2); moving (6000) the stud (2) and the first nogging (3a) along the first direction (A); and moving (7000) the free end of the nogging material into abutment with the stud (2); cutting (8000) the nogging material at a distance from the abutment, thereby forming a second nogging (3b); and fixating (9000) and joining the stud (2) and the second nogging (3b).
FIRE-RESISTANT BAMBOO STRUCTURAL BUILDING MATERIAL
Bamboo lumber products and fabrication techniques thereof are provided. Thick-wall bamboo culm is cut into multiple slats, each made up of a solid portion of culm. The slats are laminated, joined, or otherwise combined to form solid panels, boards, or other lumber products. The use of thick-walled bamboo and associated processes as disclosed allows for lumber products that have a lower glue-to-bamboo ratio and therefore provide superior characteristics compared to conventional techniques and products.
Wooden truss manufacturing system and method
Apparatus for producing wooden members for wooden trusses includes a control computer receiving a batch list, a series of infeed chutes for automatically transferring wooden members of different types to a conveyor, a scanner to detect defects, a defect saw for trimming such defects, a finger-jointer for joining wooden members end-to-end, a flying saw for cutting wood discharged from the finger-jointer, a cutting saw for cutting wooden members processed by the first flying saw into web member blanks, and a component saw for cutting angles on the ends of the web member blanks. The control computer analyzes the batch list for causing a first infeed chute to feed in wooden members of a first type sufficient to produce all web members formed from wood of the first type, and then causes a second infeed chute to feed in wooden members of a second type. A related method is also disclosed.
CONSTRUCTION MODULE FOR USE IN A MODULAR CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM
A construction module for use in a modular construction system, which improves the aesthetic finish and facilitates the operation and assembly of the elements comprising it, said constructive module being formed by at least two units of material and by at least one cylindrical bar that go through the at least two units of material transversely through perforations, wherein said at least one bar comprises on its surface at least two threaded sections separated by a smooth section, each threaded section being located inside each unit of material. The disclosure also consists in a modular construction system configured by at least two construction modules and in a method of assembling a modular construction system.
Coated multi-ply wood panel and method of producing a core board
A method of producing a core board suitable for a coated multi-ply wood panel, as well as a coated multi-ply wood panel. The method comprises the steps of providing a wood based material in the form of a plurality of layers and an adhesive suitable for bonding the layers to each other; the layers of the wood based material and the adhesive being arranged in alternating order to form a stack, the stack having two opposite faces formed by a wood based layer. On at least one of the faces of the stack there is further provided adhesive and fibrillated fibers to form a modified stack which is pressed by one-step pressing to form a multi-ply wood panel having a facing coated with a layer of fibrillated fibers. The even and smooth surface of the core panel makes it particular suitable for coating with, e.g., glossy films.
ASSEMBLING DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING A PANEL ASSEMBLY
An assembling device for manufacturing a panel assembly, which includes at least two tooling systems, which both include wooden slat gripping, positioning and securing means, and insulation panel gripping and positioning means, and a tooling controller communicatively coupled to the tooling systems, wherein the tooling systems are instructed so that, if the length of a wooden slat exceeds a predetermined threshold, the wooden slat gripping means grip the wooden slat at different parts, and are moved relatively to each other in order to align their centerlines and to correct the straightness of the wooden slat.
Systems and methods for assembling framing components
A system for assembling elements into framing components is provided along with a method for the use thereof. The system may comprise a frame, a fastening tool, a first conveyor, a second conveyor, and a holder. The pieces of the system may be connected so that they may operate automatically, with only minimal operation by a user. The system increases the speed, efficiency, precision, repeatability, and safety of assembling framing components.
Pneumatic pallet nailer
A pneumatic pallet nailer includes a nailer body, a trigger member, a pallet clamp controlling member, a pallet clamp cylinder and a pallet clamp. The trigger member is disposed on the nailer body. The pallet clamp controlling member is disposed on the nailer body and includes an internal space, a first pipe, a second pipe, a third pipe and an actuating valve. The air in the nailer body is communicated with the internal space by the first pipe and the second pipe. The third pipe is communicated with the internal space. The actuating valve is movably disposed in the internal space, and the actuating valve is actuated and positioned at a first position or a second position. The pallet clamp cylinder is communicated to the third pipe. When the trigger member is pressed, the pallet clamp is actuated by the pallet clamp cylinder to clamp a workpiece.
Method of making a laminated wood product
A laminated wood product comprising providing a plank presenting a pair of parallel major surfaces, a pair of minor surfaces, a pair of end surfaces and a longitudinal direction parallel with said major and minor surfaces and perpendicular to the end surfaces, said plank having a water content of more than 25% by weight, preferably more than 30% by weight. At least one of the major surfaces is laminated to a surface of a second member.
Method of making a laminated wood product
A laminated wood product comprising providing a plank presenting a pair of parallel major surfaces, a pair of minor surfaces, a pair of end surfaces and a longitudinal direction parallel with said major and minor surfaces and perpendicular to the end surfaces, said plank having a water content of more than 25% by weight, preferably more than 30% by weight. At least one of the major surfaces is laminated to a surface of a second member.
