Method for producing contact lenses

The invention provides a method producing contact lenses, comprising the step of: separating the mold into the male and female mold halves, with the silicone hydrogel contact lens adhered on one of the male and female mold halves; bring a shaped ultrasonic horn in direct contact with at least one area of a non-optical surface of the female mold half or the male mold half having the molded silicone hydrogel contact lens attached thereon; and applying a ultrasonic vibrational energy to the at least one area of the non-optical surface of the female mold half or the male mold half having the molded silicone hydrogel contact lens attached thereon so as to separate the molded silicone hydrogel contact lens from the mold half attached thereon.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR APPARATUS FOR TAKING OUT MOLDED PRODUCT

There is provided a control system for an apparatus for taking out a molded product, the apparatus performing appropriate operation when a collision occurs while a servo system control section is manually operated. When a collision detection section outputs an operation stop command, a deviation clearing section performs clearing operation to bring deviations in a servo system control section to zero with the servo system control section kept on. Positioning is completed as the deviations are brought to zero, which enables operation to be performed again. When a retracting operation is performed after the operation is stopped, servomotors are operated according to an operation command, which allows smooth retraction from the collision state.

METHOD FOR MAKING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL

A hydroformed expanded spun bonded nonwoven has a first substantially planar surface on one side thereof and a second surface on an opposite side thereof. The second surface includes a plurality of protuberances in a pattern. The hydroformed expanded spun bonded nonwoven web has an average loft of at least about 1.3 times greater than an original average loft of an original unexpanded spun bonded nonwoven web from which the hydroformed expanded spun bonded nonwoven web was created and an air permeability of at least about 1.2 times greater than an original air permeability of the original unexpanded spun bonded nonwoven web. The hydroformed expanded spun bonded nonwoven web includes bicomponent fibers combining a polymer with PLA in a ratio of polymer/PLA within a range of about 20/80 to 80/20.

Composite structures, materials with a removable backing for composite structures and related devices and methods

Composite structures and methods of forming composite structures may include at least one ply of material extending along a length of the composite structure. The at least one ply of material includes sections of material extending along the length of the composite structure.

Mold

The improved mold assembly for cultured marble molding is provided. The mold assembly can comprise a male mold portion and a female mold portion. The assembly can further comprise a molding tool. The molding tool can have a side wall having an upper curved portion and a lower curved portion. The molding tool can have a bowl portion and an apron portion spaced from the bowl portion by a gap. The molding tool can be constructed from a flexible and/or soft material. The molding tool can facilitate molding of a countertop having at least one seamless curved edge and/or an at least partially seamless sink portion.

Systems and methods of curing a thermoset composite to a desired state of cure

Systems and methods of curing a thermoset composite (TSC) to a target state of cure (SOC) are disclosed herein. The methods include heating the thermoset composite to greater than a threshold temperature. During the heating, the methods further include monitoring an actual temperature of the thermoset composite, determining a maximum temperature achieved by the thermoset composite, and determining an elapsed time that the actual temperature of the thermoset composite is greater than the threshold temperature. The methods further include ceasing the heating based, at least in part, on the maximum temperature of the TSC and the elapsed time. The systems include a heating assembly, a support mandrel, a thermoset composite, a temperature detector, and a controller programmed to perform the methods.
