Curing repair resin
The present invention provides a repair resin composition for repairing breaks in a vehicle windscreen and curing units for curing the repair resin after it has been inserted into the break. The present invention also provides a method of repairing a vehicle windscreen, comprising inserting a resin into a repair zone, wherein the resin comprises a photoinitiator that activates when exposed to light of an activation wavelength, wherein the activation wavelength is between 370 nm and 425 nm, and curing the resin by emitting light including light within the activation wavelength range onto the repair zone.
Stacked rolling vehicle track
A roller coaster track may comprise a laminate and a metal bearing layer. A method of manufacturing a roller coaster track may comprise manufacturing a laminate, manufacturing a metal bearing layer, and assembling the laminate and bearing layer. The bearing layer may be at least partially filled with grout. A method of repairing a wood roller coaster track may comprise removing a layer of laminate, and replacing the layer with a metal bearing layer.
Method of exchanging a filter assembly
A method for exchange of a filter assembly is described, wherein a contaminated filter assembly is exchanged for a refurbished filter assembly or a new filter assembly.
Method and device for producing non-round wound tubes from plastic profiles
A method and a device for repairing portions of channels, including non-round channels, is provided by a wound tube wound from a profile strip by a winding machine, the abutting edges of which strip are formed into tight joints, locked inside the wound tube which can be introduced into the portion of the channel to be repaired. A plastic profile strip is drawn from a storage spool and fed to a winding machine arranged in front of one of the openings of the channel to be repaired, the winding machine having a guide rail adapted to the cross-portion of the channel, and adjacent edge regions fed onto this rotating winding former locked in an overlapping manner to form a wound pipe and the pipe is pushed or pulled into the channel portion.
Pipe-liner eversion system and method
A pipe-liner system for use when lining a pipe interior features a pipe having a pipe opening end and a pipe interior wall. The system features a flexible, substantially-impermeable, elongate extender-tube and an evertable, flexible, elongate, tubular pipe-liner. The system features a substantially leak-proof pressure retaining closure-sleeve located on a pipe-liner second end. An extender-tube second end is attached to a pipe-liner first end via a substantially leak-proof connection there between. The combined extender-tube and the pipe-liner form a single continuous evertable tube, hereinafter referred to as an extended liner having the pressure retaining closure-sleeve enclosing an extended liner distal end. A length of the extender-tube and a length of the pipe-liner are each chosen so that the liner is caused to be accurately positioned within the pipe upon eversion.
Method for repairing honeycomb core sandwich structural body and repaired product
A method for repairing a honeycomb core sandwich structural body according to the present invention is a method in which a damaged portion that is formed in a honeycomb core sandwich structural body where a honeycomb structured core is held between a first outer skin and a second outer skin and that reaches the core through the first outer skin is repaired, the method including: a repair material mounting step of mounting a repair material on the damaged portion, the repair material including a patch that covers an opening of the damaged portion, and one or a plurality of braces that support the patch; a patch bonding step of bonding the patch to the first outer skin; and a brace bonding step of bonding the brace to the second outer skin or the core.
Waterproof sheet for use in bridge pier repair and waterproof working method using the same
When a bridge pier is reinforced or repaired by wrapping a reinforcement around the pier, a waterproof sheet having a sufficient flexibility to attach to and cover the interface between the pier and the reinforcement in a liquid-tight manner is useful. The waterproof sheet is attached to the interface between the pier and the reinforcement to prevent water from penetrating into the interface for thereby preventing the reinforcement from deterioration.
METHOD FOR REPAIRING A TURBOMACHINE ROTOR BLADE
A disclosed method is suitable for repairing a blade of a turbomachine rotor, particularly a turbomachine fan, that includes a vane made from an organic-matrix composite and a metallic shield that is bonded to a leading edge of the vane and has a damaged region. The method includes steps of resetting the leading edge of the vane cooling the entire vane, followed by a step of refilling the damaged region by adding a metallic material to this damaged region and melting the material using a laser, and a step of tailoring the damaged region by machining the molten material.
