11707902 · 2023-07-25 · ·

A system and method for forming a seal member onto a substrate from a material is disclosed. The system includes a mold comprising an ultraviolet transmissible material, the mold having a first portion and a second portion operatively coupled to the first portion, the first portion having a first cavity, a second cavity, and a channel extending from an outer surface of the mold to the second cavity. The first cavity has a first shape that is complementary to a first side of the substrate and the second cavity has a second shape that is complementary to the seal member. The system also includes an applicator in fluid communication with the channel, where the applicator is configured to provide the material to the second cavity through the channel, and an ultraviolet irradiation device configured to irradiate the mold with ultraviolet light to cure the material when the material is provided to the second cavity, such that the seal member is formed on the substrate.

20230029126 · 2023-01-26 ·

A hinged flip-top cap with a tamper-evident inner ring includes a base portion, which extends into a pourer portion, and a flip-top lid. A hinge arrangement connects the flip-top lid to the base portion and is foldable with respect to said base portion, so that flip-top lid can be tilted with respect to the base portion and moved between a closed position above the base portion and an open position detached and rotated from the base portion. The inner ring is position inwardly of the flip-top lid and the base portion and operates as a tamper-evident element that reveals whether a first opening between the flip-top lid and the base portion has been made.

Plunger gasket with reduced surface contact
11707576 · 2023-07-25 · ·

A plunger gasket with reduced surface contact area including a body, a first side defining a first side surface, a second side defining a second side surface, and at least one surface feature projecting outwardly from at least one of the first or second side surfaces. In example embodiments, at least one surface feature projects outwardly from both the first and second side surfaces. By reducing the surface areas of contact between gaskets during manufacture and processing, the incidence of unintentional cohesion may be reduced or eliminated.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A COMPOSITE STRUCTURE

In an aspect, the present disclosure is directed to a composite structure. The composite structure includes a three-dimensional (3-D) grid structure and at least one monolithic skin layer at least partially enveloping and securing the grid structure. As such, the grid structure is configured to stabilize the composite structure under at least one of: static local buckling and dynamic global buckling.

POROUS MEMBRANE WIPES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE

A microporous membrane wipe and a method of using such microporous membrane wipe are disclosed. The microporous membrane wipe may be uniaxially or biaxially oriented microporous membrane. The uniaxially or biaxially oriented microporous membrane may be made from one or more block and/or impact copolymers of polyethylene and/or polypropylene. A method of using such a microporous membrane wipe for skin oil blotting is also disclosed. Further disclosed is a method of using such a microporous membrane wipe for cleaning a surface for the removal of fingerprints, smudges and the like, where such surfaces may include, for example, eyeglasses, electronics, cell phones, displays, optical devices, camera lenses, microscope lenses and other precision optics, and/or the like.

Unitary respirator with molded thermoset elastomeric elements

A respiratory protection composite facepiece is disclosed and includes a polymeric rigid facepiece body portion having a first surface and a second surface and a silicone sealing facepiece element chemically bonded at least one of the first surface or the second surface. The first and second surfaces can be opposing major surfaces. A second silicone element is chemically bonded to at least one of the first surface or the second surface. Methods of making the same are also disclosed.

TURNING SYSTEM FOR WIND TURBINE BLADE PARTS

A turning system for turning wind turbine blade shell part carriers between an open position and a closed position about a turning axis, comprising: a lower blade shell part carrier having a support surface for receiving and supporting a lower wind turbine blade part; an upper blade shell part carrier and having a support surface for receiving and supporting an upper wind turbine blade part; and at least one turning device each including: a lower hinge element, such as a beam, arranged under the support surface of the lower blade shell part carrier; and a turning hinge having a lower hinge part attached to the respective lower hinge element, an upper hinge part attached to the upper blade shell part carrier, and an actuator configured for turning the lower and upper hinge parts relative to each other about the turning axis.
