The present invention provides a liquid polysiloxane comprising a siloxane-thiourea segment and a crosslinkable functional group(s) selected from one or more ethylenically unsaturated groups, silyl hydride groups, alkylenethiol groups and combinations thereof.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTED ARTICLE
20220380549 · 2022-12-01 ·

The present invention relates to a method for producing a three-dimensional (3D) printed article with a photocurable silicone composition involving a silicone containing as end-group specific (meth)acrylate groups.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MICROFLUIDIC ARCHITECTURE
20220371232 · 2022-11-24 ·

A method of manufacturing a microfluidic architecture having at least one channel disposed therein. Steps can include pouring an uncured polymeric material into a mould to produce a first layer; at least partially curing the first layer; and forming the at least one channel by disposing a support material on the first layer; pouring an uncured polymeric material onto the first layer to form a second layer to thereby encapsulate the support material; and at least partially curing the second layer such that the first layer and second layer together form the microfluidic architecture; wherein the support material undergoes a phase change during the process of forming the at least one channel. The phase change of the support material enables the material to be more easily disposed and/or removed after formation of the channel.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN IMPLANT FROM A BIOCOMPATIBLE SILICONE
20220371229 · 2022-11-24 · ·

In a method for producing an implant from a biocompatible silicone, a 3D mathematical model of an implant to be produced is used to create a 3D model of a casting mold for the implant as a negative. The casting mold is produced from a polymeric material through an additive manufacturing process and coated through vapor deposition of a coating material from the parylene family at least in a region that comes into contact with the biocompatible silicone to be cast. A platinum-catalyzed 2-component thermosetting silicone as the biocompatible silicone for the implant is introduced into a mold cavity of the coated casting mold, with a residence time of the implant in a patient's body of more than 29 days. The casting mold is heated to vulcanize the biocompatible silicone, and after cooling down the vulcanized implant is demolded from the casting mold.

FABRICATION METHOD OF TRANSPARENT 3D POLYDIMETHYLSILOXANE DEVICES WITH POLYCAPROLACTONE MOLDS
20220371228 · 2022-11-24 · ·

A method of forming a model of a porous structure includes three dimensionally printing a mold of the porous structure using a polycaprolactone mold material, filling the mold with a polymer mixture, and heating the filled mold at a temperature above a melting temperature of the mold material to cure the polymer mixture, where the cured polymer mixture forms the model of the porous structure.

Physical reutilization of siliconized sheets

The method for the physical reutilization of sheet-like siliconized structures comprises treating the sheet-like siliconized structure in a liquid digestion system comprising acetic anhydride and/or an acetoxysiloxane, and at least one Brønsted acid, optionally solvent, preferably with addition of acetic acid, and removing the desiliconized sheet-like structure from the liquid phase.

Method of manufacturing a silicone medical balloon
11504507 · 2022-11-22 · ·

A method of forming a balloon for a medical device is provided including extruding a cylindrical tube of silicone material, partially curing the cylindrical tube, inflating the cylindrical tube, and fully curing the balloon. The cylindrical tube is partially cured by exposing the cylindrical tube to a first ultraviolet light source. The cylindrical tube is inflated within a mold to form the balloon. The balloon is fully cured by exposing the balloon to a second ultraviolet light source.

Silicone (meth)acrylates, process for their preparation and their use in curable compositions

A process can be used for preparing silicone (meth)acrylates, according to which at least one acetoxysilicone is reacted with at least one hydroxyfunctional (meth)acrylic acid ester. The corresponding silicone (meth)acrylates are useful, and can be used in curable compositions.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FORMING A FLUIDIC SYSTEM

There is provided a method of making a fluidic system that comprises assembling a fluidic system comprising a first plate, a second plate and a membrane disposed between the first plate and the second plate; applying laser energy to the fluidic system to cause the first plate, the second plate and the membrane to melt at bonding areas; and allowing the bonding areas to cool down such that the first plate, the second plate and the membrane are bonded together.
