ROSIN PRESS SYSTEM
Described is a rosin press system for extracting rosin (oil) from plant material. The rosin press system includes a male plate with a male protrusion and a female plate formed to matingly receive the male protrusion. The plates can be heated such that when plant material is pressed between the plates, rosin is pressed from the plant material and allowed to drain from a drain hole positioned at the middle of the female plate.
Composite having plant fiber textile and fabricating method thereof
The present disclosure provides a plant fiber textile, a laminate with the plant fiber textile and a fabricating method of the laminate. The plant fiber textile has a matrix resin and continuous plant fibers distributed within the matrix resin. The plant fibers are subjected to a surface modification pretreatment including a coupling treatment with a coupling agent and/or a fire retardation treatment with a fire retardant. The laminate has a stack structure including a layer of the plant fiber textile and at least one layer selected from a group consisting of following layers: glass fiber, aramid fiber or carbon fiber non-woven cloth or textile, preferably distributed within the matrix resin; polymer fiber non-woven cloth or textile, preferably distributed within the matrix resin; or polymer foam or rubber material.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FILLING A MOULD
An apparatus comprises a mould part having a forming chamber and a filling device for filling the forming chamber with a mouldable material. The filling device comprises an entry duct for a flow of mouldable material and air and a preliminary chamber communicating with the forming chamber. The entry duct opens into the preliminary chamber in a position such as to send the flow of mouldable material and air towards the forming chamber with a helicoidal movement, so as to separate the mouldable material from the air.
POLYMERIC MATERIAL COMPRISING MODIFIED LIGNIN
A polymeric material comprising a first polymer and a second polymer where the first polymer is a natural or a synthetic polymer and the second polymer is modified lignin. The modified lignin is modified with an alkyl containing group via linker wherein the linker is an ether group and wherein the alkyl containing group is derived from fatty acid methyl ester.
LIGNIN-BASED POLYMERS WITH ENHANCED MELT EXTRUSION ABILITY
A solid polymer blend material comprising: (i) lignin; and (ii) a polyamide having a melting point of no more than 240 C. and which is below the decomposition temperature of the lignin; wherein said lignin is homogeneously dispersed in said polyamide. Methods for producing the blend material are also described. Methods for producing objects made of the blend material by melt extrusion are also described, comprising: (a) melt blending components (i) and (ii) to form a polymer blend in which components (i) and (ii) are homogeneously blended, wherein the polymer blend exhibits a melt viscosity of no more than 2000 Pa.Math.s at a shear rate of 100-1000 s.sup.1 and when heated to a temperature of no more than 240 C.; and; (b) forming an object made of said polymer blend material.
HASHISH CIGARETTE PRODUCT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A fully formed, freestanding, curvilinear geometric shaped, hashish cigarette product. A method of making the product consisting, substantially of hashish, the method comprising applying pressure to a collection of kief via a press for a period of time sufficient to form a pliable sheet of hashish having a thickness of 0.5 to 1 mm, cutting or trimming the pliable sheet into a substantially rectangular section, rolling the section of pliable sheet around an object having a curvilinear geometric shape at least one full rotation, and separating the rolled section of pliable sheet from the object, leaving only the fully formed, freestanding, curvilinear geometric shaped, hashish cigarette product.
Pelletized Road Marking Binders and Related Methods
A composition for use as a binder system for road marking formulations and methods for making thereof is disclosed. The binder system is provided as pellets. The method provides for making the pelletized binder system, and mixing the pelletized binder system with fillers and other components, heating the mixed ingredients forming into a molten mixture for applying on a road surface. The pelletized binder system comprises at least a resin and an elastomer in one embodiment; at least a resin and a plasticizer in a second embodiment; and at least a resin, an elastomer, and a plasticizer in a third embodiment.
Biocomposite and/or biomaterial with sunflower seed shells/husks
The invention relates to a biomaterial and/or a biocomposite based on sunflower seed shells/husks. According to the invention, it is proposed that sunflower seed shells/husks are used instead of wood, bamboo or other wood-like fiber products as the original material for the biocomposite products and are used for the production of such products in order to improve the previous biomaterials, and in particular also to design said materials for improved cost efficiency and to improve their material properties.
Method for the production of a molding
The invention relates to a method for producing a molded piece (compression molding, molded body) using a compression molding device. The use of special construction features for the compression molding device, such as a spring-loaded punch, an intermediate punch and clamps, allows the advantageous production of molded pieces.
