Pre-loaded bait rodent trap
11178864 · 2021-11-23 ·

A rodent trap incorporating a pre-loaded bait of non-artificial fresh food in a pre-sealed container that is covered by a peelable sheeted material such that when setting the trap, an operator will peel off the sheeted material to expose the fresh food bait and then set the trap. The pre-loaded bait container finds utility in bail-type traps as well as adhesive glue traps.

Animal sorting device
11172670 · 2021-11-16 · ·

An animal sorting device comprising a housing having an entrance, an exit, and an animal dispatch chamber. The animal dispatch chamber comprises entrant assessment means to determine if an entrant is either a pest or a non-pest, animal dispatching means to dispatch the pest, and means to urge either a dispatched pest towards an aperture or the non-pest towards the exit. A modular animal sorting device is also disclosed.

ANIMAL DEBILITATING ENCLOSURE
20220007632 · 2022-01-13 ·

An enclosure for debilitating an animal is disclosed herein. The enclosure can include a compressing plate, a plurality of structural supports, a support surface, and a sensory deprivation shield. The compressing plate can be configured to receive a force causing the compressing plate to move in the direction of the force. The compressing plate can then debilitate the target animal within an internal region between the compressing plate and the support surface. The enclosure provides convenience and control for the hunter over the target animal, while avoiding the use of weapons or traps.

APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A STERILIZED ANIMAL POPULATION
20220001202 · 2022-01-06 ·

Apparatus for shielding a non-human animal from a sterilizant. The apparatus (100, 200) defines a space (102, 202) for accommodating a non-human animal (111, 204) and a shield (107, 201) for shielding a part of the animal from a sterilizant such as radiation. Only exposing a specific part of the animal to sterilizant produces a sterile animal which is better adapted to mate with other animals When the sterilized animals are released in a sterile insect technique, the technique is more efficient because the released animals are better adapted to mate with a wild population.

Surfaces coated with high viscosity index petroleum based gel and methods for use as a barrier to crawling insects

Means and methods for preventing crawling insects from infesting a site where food, water, or garbage is located. In particular, this relates to creating a non-poisonous barrier in the path of the insects by coating a surface with a layer of high viscosity index petroleum based gel (HVIP-gel). One embodiment is an insect deterrent cup that is comprised of an inverted (upside down) cup whose inner surface is coated with a layer of PetrolGel. The insect deterrent cup is positioned between the food site and the crawling insects, blocking their path. This prevents crawling insects from accessing the food, water, or garbage.

IMPROVEMENTS IN, OR RELATING TO, TRIGGER VALVES
20230323972 · 2023-10-12 · ·

Disclosed is a trigger valve methods, use and apparatus. The valve has a housing enclosing, at least in part, a cavity. There is a trigger poppet including a poppet sealing portion at least in part within the cavity, the trigger poppet configured to receive an external input at, or toward, a receiving end thereof. A trigger piston including a primary sealing portion and a major face at least in part within the cavity, the trigger piston configured to receive high pressure fluid therethrough, the trigger piston having a minor face opposite the major surface and a secondary sealing portion. The trigger poppet and trigger piston are biased towards each other at least by the high-pressure fluid acting on the minor face, such that the high-pressure fluid is sealed from the cavity by the poppet sealing portion and primary sealing portion in sealing engagement on each other. The secondary sealing portion sealing against the housing, or part thereof, preventing release of the high-pressure fluid therefrom. The poppet sealing portion when displaced from the primary sealing portion by the external input unseals the sealing engagement and allows high pressure fluid to flow into the cavity and act on the major face causing the trigger poppet to move and unseats the secondary sealing portion from the housing, or part thereof, to allow flow of high pressure fluid to then do work, or cause work to be done.

INSECT STICKY TRAP WITH CORRUGATED SURFACE

An adhesive trap for entrapping pests such as insects such as flying or crawling insects, or other small creatures includes a corrugated panel defining a plurality of channels connected by convex peaks. For example, the corrugated panel, or a plurality of corrugated panels, may be configured and/or assembled to define a pillar or the like. An insect adhesive, such as pressure-sensitive adhesive, is adhered only in the plurality of channels, such that the convex peaks of the corrugated panel are free of adhesive. The adhesive trap is effective at capturing target insects, and the adhesive-free outer portions facilitate handling of the traps without contacting the adhesive and reduces the risk and likelihood of inadvertently ensnaring or adhesively engaging larger, non-target creatures.

PEST TRAPS

A pest trap comprising a main body. A first chamber connected to the main body has an opening arranged to allow a pest to enter the first chamber, there being a movable closure to the opening of the first chamber. A second chamber connected to the main body also has an opening arranged to allow a pest to enter the second chamber, again there being a movable closure to the opening of the second chamber. The pest trap is arranged, in response to a sensor mechanism detecting the presence of a pest in the first or second chamber, to close the movable closure to the opening of the first or second chamber, and to activate a kill mechanism to release a fluid into the first or second chamber to kill the pest.
