Microwave bonding of EVA and rubber items
Aspects of the present invention relate to systems and methods for customizing microwave energy distribution within a chamber to accommodate various load characteristics. Aspects of the present invention customized configurations of ports, deflectors, waveguides, conducting rods, and slots to shape and distribute energy.
MICROWAVE MOLDED ARTICLE AND METHOD THEREOF
The present invention disclosures microwave molded articles, including molded articles having portions with different hardness; molded articles having sharp flanges; molded articles having portions with different colors; molded articles with designed pattern; molded articles made of plastic particles with hollow tubes; molded articles made of plastic and rubber particles composition; molded articles made of plastic particles in combination of pre-molded rubber blocks; a molded article made of plastic particles in combination of textile; and a molded article made of non-spherical type plastic particles. The manufacturing methods for the above molded articles are also provided.
Method and Apparatus for Producing Primary Packaging Having an Integrated Septum and Primary Packaging Having an Integrated Septum
The invention relates to a method for producing primary packaging having an integrated septum characterised by: a) providing a septum, b) providing an injection-molding die having two die halves, c) positioning the septum in the injection-molding die, d) moving the two die halves of the injection-molding die to form a cavity corresponding to the shape of the primary packaging to be produced, e) injecting a material into the cavity via an injection opening, where the two die halves of the injection-molding die pretensioningly holding the septum, and a rim of the septum is overmolded by the material, f) cooling the injected material while maintaining a holding pressure, g) moving the two die halves of the injection-molding die such that the produced primary packaging means having the integrated septum can be removed from the injection-molding die, and h) removing the produced primary packaging having the integrated septum from the injection-molding die.
MOLD FOR GOLF BALLS
A mold for a golf ball can include a pair of mold halves. Each mold half can have a cavity face including a plurality of pimples. The cavity face can have a low-latitude zone and a high-latitude zone. The low-latitude zone can include a low-latitude base surface having an inner diameter larger than that of a phantom sphere of a cavity. The high-latitude zone can include a high-latitude base surface having an inner diameter equal to that of the phantom sphere. Each pimple can protrude from the low-latitude base surface or the high-latitude base surface. A pimple that intersects an equator plane of the phantom sphere or is proximal to the equator plane can protrude partially or entirely from the low-latitude base surface.
Solid tire performance sensing system and method
In accordance with presently disclosed embodiments, a tire monitoring system is provided. The tire monitoring system utilizes a heat sensor embedded in a solid rubber tire. The heat sensor detects a temperature of the solid tire, and a transmission system transmits signals indicative of the temperature from the heat sensor to a remote monitoring system. The remote monitoring system may monitor the temperature of the solid tire and output notifications to alert a user when preventive maintenance is needed. The heat sensor may be embedded in the solid rubber tire during the manufacture of the solid tire, or the heat sensor may be embedded into the solid tire after production of the tire is complete. The system may be used track cure time and temperature as the tire is being produced and/or to log tire performance information throughout the operation of the tire.
METHOD FOR MAKING GOLF BALL AND GOLF BALL MADE THEREBY
A method for making a golf ball includes: wrapping a sensing module with a polymeric band to produce a spherical core in which the sensing module is entirely enclosed by the polymeric band; molding a molding material to form an intermediate layer that surrounds the spherical core, wherein the polymeric band acts as a barrier to prevent the molding material from intruding into the sensing module through the polymeric band; and molding a shell to surround the intermediate layer. A golf ball is also provided, and includes a spherical core, an intermediate layer surrounding the spherical core, and a shell surrounding the intermediate layer. The spherical core includes a sensing module, and a polymeric band wrapped around and entirely enclosing the sensing module.
Laminate and method for making laminate
A method of insert molding comprises placing in a first mold a curable rubber composition comprising a reactive species; placing on a surface of the rubber composition a first thermoplastic material in a film or layer comprising a group reactive with the reactive species of the rubber composition; curing the rubber composition in the mold to form a first molded article of cured rubber having a first thermoplastic material layer covalently bonded through reactive of the reactive species and the group; placing the first molded article as an insert into a second mold, the cured rubber contacting an inside surface of the second mold and the thermoplastic layer facing into the second mold cavity; closing the second mold and injecting into the second mold a second thermoplastic material that to form a second molded article comprising the first molded article thermally welded and/or covalently bonded to the second thermoplastic material.
PRODUCTION DEVICE AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR COMPOSITE STRETCHABLE MEMBER
Using a conveyance roller having an outer peripheral surface which is capable of conveying two sheets with an elastic element sandwiched therebetween, in a longitudinal direction of the sheets, and formed with a convex section; and a clamping and pressing device, the sheets with the elastic element sandwiched therebetween are ultrasonic-welded together under pressing. The convex section is formed in a shape extending along a line intersecting a conveyance direction of the conveyance roller, and the convex section is provided with a plurality of grooves at positions spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction thereof, wherein each of the grooves extends in the conveyance direction of the conveyance roller to allow a portion of the sheets on which the elastic element is disposed, to be inserted therein.
Impact resistant rim
A impact resistant rim is configured to soften or minimize an impact, thereby reducing the risk of pinching or otherwise flattening the tire and/or damaging the rim. This impact resistant rim further reduces the effects of an impact by maintaining the integrity of the rim during and following the impact. In this rim design, a shock absorbing cord is inlaid, molded, an/or otherwise embedded inside opposing leading edges of the rim. The shock absorbing cord is designed to elastically and/or plastically deform during an impact.
