Flexible heated hose assembly with printed positive temperature co-efficient heater

A flexible heated hose assembly for an aircraft is provided. The flexible heated hose assembly including: an inner fluid tube enclosing a fluid passageway, the inner fluid tube having tubular shape; a first silicone liner located radially outward from the inner fluid tube; and a printed positive temperature co-efficient (PTC) heater located radially outward from the first silicone liner.

Composite component comprising ring-shaped bonded magnet and method of manufacturing the same

The present invention relates to a composite component including a metal component having a substantially cylindrical shape or a substantially annular shape, and a ring-shaped bonded magnet disposed on the outer periphery of the metal component, the ring-shaped bonded magnet containing a thermoplastic resin, magnetic particles, and rubber particles.

TRANSDERMAL THERAPEUTIC SYSTEM COMPRISING A SILICONE ACRYLIC HYBRID POLYMER

The present invention relates to transdermal therapeutic systems (TTS) for the transdermal administration of an active agent comprising an active agent-containing layer structure, said active agent-containing layer structure comprising A) a backing layer, B) an active agent-containing layer, wherein the active agent-containing layer comprises a therapeutically effective amount of the active agent and at least one silicone acrylic hybrid polymer, and C) a skin contact layer, wherein the skin contact layer comprises at least one silicone acrylic hybrid polymer.

METHOD FOR MAKING COATED SILICONE HYDROGEL CONTACT LENSES

The invention is generally related to a method for producing coated silicone hydrogel contact lenses each of which has a hydrogel coating thereon and a relative high resistance to uptakes of polycationic antimicrobials as characterized by having a polyquaternium-1-uptake of less than 0.40 micrograms/lens. The hydrogel coating is formed by covalently attached a hydrophilic polymeric material onto a base coating of a polyanionic polymer on a SiHy contact lens. In this method, lower polyquaternium-1-uptake is achieved by using a rinse solution with a higher pH and/or a higher ionic strength (higher salt concentration) for rinsing a treated silicone hydrogel contact lens with a base coating of polyanionic polymer.

Mandrel forming for discrete wing skin stiffeners

In one embodiment, a stiffener may be formed by inserting a plurality of flexible mandrels into a channel of a tool having a three-dimensional contour, placing a vacuum bag over the flexible mandrels and the tool, with the mandrels disposed between the vacuum bag and the tool, and applying vacuum pressure between the vacuum bag and the tool. A hardening substance may be inserted into each of the plurality of flexible mandrels and then may be hardened while the plurality of mandrels are inserted in the one or more channels of the tool. Finally, the mandrels may be wrapped with a stiffener material with stiffeners being formed from the stiffener material.

An electrode with varying impedances includes a plurality of layers that are compressed together with varying compressions forces. A first compression force is used at the perimeter of the electrode and a second compression force is used towards the center of the electrode. The first compression force at the perimeter is lesser than the second compression force towards the center and creates a greater measured impedance at the perimeter of the electrode than at the center of the electrode.

Composite article and method of forming a composite article

The present disclosure relates to a composite article that may include a plastic component, and a silicone component bonded the plastic component. The plastic component and the silicone component may be bonded at an intersecting region between a first surface of the plastic component and a first surface of the silicone component. The intersecting region may include at least one of an acetone content of not greater than about 0.2 ppm, an MEK content of not greater than about 0.2 ppm, or a trimethylsilanol content of not greater than about 0.2 ppm.

FLUID TRANSFER ASSEMBLY, A FLUID TRANSFER SYSTEM, AND A RELATED METHOD

Fluid transfer assemblies for transferring fluid into or out of a single vessel and distributing the fluid to multiple other vessels are provided. The fluid transfer assemblies are customizable, substantially aseptic, and single-use. The fluid transfer assemblies may be manufactured by solidifying polymeric materials to form a body around a mandrel with protrusions engaged to fluid conduits and leaving recesses in the solidified polymeric material to stretch the resultant body and remove the mandrel with protrusions. The resultant fluid transfer assembly may be surrounded by a rigid housing and valves may be engaged with the conduits and/or body to control the fluid flow within the fluid transfer assembly.

Process for the manufacture of an impermeable connection between at least two fluid carrying silicone hose components and a fluid carrying assembly manufactured according to said process

In a process for the manufacture of an impermeable connection between at least two fluid carrying silicone hose components, the silicone hose components and a silicone connector component are first prepared. Afterwards a fluid silicone mass is applied to at least one connecting area where the silicone hose components abut on the silicone connector components. The at least one connecting area is post cured to harden the silicone mass. In a fluid carrying assembly with at least two fluid carrying silicone hose components and at least one silicone connector component, a fluid carrying connection is manufactured between these components by means of this process. This design results in a connecting technique that is, on the one hand, secure and, on the other hand, enables automation of the manufacture of an impermeable connection and thus of the fluid carrying assembly.
